West Point Foundry Preserve located in Cold Spring, NY
"Established in 1818 to supply the U.S. government with artillery, the ironworks employed hundreds of workers who produced some of America's first steam engines, locomotives and ironclad ships, as well as pipes for New York City's water system and Parrott guns, cannon credited with winning the Civil War."
Velma & Iris enjoyed all the world had to offer: fame, fortune, and free bingo cards at St. Ignatius Tuesday Bingo Night. However, their beauty was marred by their transparent egos. They had no friends, only flunkys and vipers who clung to them for the swag amd pompous displays of affection afforded by their status in the Land of Phoney Baloney.
They died penniless after one too many bottles of Liquid Veneer poisoned and eroded their hollow souls.

Taken with a Rollei A26 camera in week 281 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:

This is a well specified camera, but unfortunately mine is electronically dead, so will only work at full aperture with a shutter speed of 1/30th sec.
I used a cartridge of Ferrania Dia 28 colour transparency film which expired in 1968. The film came from a car boot sale, and although the cassette was still in its wrapper, there was a strong smell of damp when I opened it. Initially the film was too stiff for the camera to wind, but I freed it manually and persevered. It is clear from the results that the film had stuck to itself over the years, and significant areas of emulsion were lifted from the film base. The negatives also show reticulation, a wrinkling of the emulsion caused by changes in temperature of the chemicals.
