Transparent black blouse and floral skirt with black boots

An impressive resort, Porto Carras in Chalkidiki (Greece) has some unfinished, partly decayed buildings. A transparent cloth with the impression of nature, surrounds the building in front (where the naked building otherwise could be seen)

Tsinghua Art Museum by Mario Botta.

Despite the general misconception that glass façades are transparent they are actually not because they do reflect the surroundings like mirrors, real transparency in buildings is achieved by openings in plain façades!

My hand *coloured version of an old photograph of Leeds City Tramways (LCT) tram no 158, showing a 'Corn Exchange' destination blind. This was taken in Crossgates Road, the Crossgates tram terminus being behind the tram outside the Regal cinema.

LCT tram no 158 was a fully enclosed 'Horsfield' class car built by Brush in 1931 seating 23/37 and running on a 4 wheel Peckham P35 truck. It was withdrawn in Nov 1959 when the whole Leeds tramway system closed and scrapped at Swinegate Depot in Jan 1960,

* My coloured images are deliberately more sketch or watercolour like than colour transparency or print like. They are only an impression of that period rather than an accurate representation of how the image/subject actually looked when the photo was taken.

If there are any errors in the above description please let me know. Thanks.

The world isn't as transparent as it seems...

This loco was the 'pet' of St.Blazey Depot at the time and received special attention.
