La antesala del desfile fue el izamiento de la bandera de la diversidad en la Delegación de la Unión Europea. La columna, que reunió a más de 50 mil personas y contó con la asistencia del vocero de Gobierno Álvaro Elizalde, demandó mejorías al AVP, Ley de Identidad de Género y el fin de los crímenes de odio.
Más de 50 mil personas se plegaron ayer a la Marcha por la Igualdad convocada el Movimiento de Integración y Liberación Homosexual (Movilh) en el marco del la novena conmemoración en Chile del Día Internacional contra la Homofobia y la Transfobia.
“Con esta marcha no sólo conmemoramos el día cuando hace 24 años la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) sacó de su lista de enfermedades a la homosexualidad. Con esta marcha exigimos la total igualdad social y legal, pues eliminado y superado el prejuicio de que éramos enfermos, ahora lo urgente es avanzar en igualdad de derechos” , sostuvo el Movilh....

Transwestern's Houston office launched its third annual TransForm Challenge on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. The kickoff party included complimentary coffee and breakfast, t-shirts, door prize giveaways including an Apple iPad Mini, healthy lifestyle vendors including My Fit Foods, Crossfit, Smoothie King and Whole Foods. A representative from Hoopy Thoughts was also present, giving introductory lessons on hula hooping, a fitness class that will be offered to team members throughout the challenge.
In the four-month challenge, participants are weighed and measured by a third-party registered dietician. More than $5,000 in prizes will be awarded to contestants who transform their health the most over the four-month period. Informative events inlcluding educational lunches, fitness events and farmer's market tours are planned throughout the challenge to provide team members with additional information on living a healthy lifestyle.
This challenge is a part of a nationwide effort by Transwestern to improve the health and overall wellness of its team members. Each office will hold a wellness challenge unique to its office and team members to encourage living a healthy lifestyle.
This is another useful tool which is for changing sizes, rotating, flip over, etc. I used 'flip horizontally' to get this piece fit in the other side.

Photos of one of the pieces which is currently in development. It is made out of individual balls, which are tights, stuffed with either toy stuffing or bubble-wrap. I then tied each ball with wool to represent the idea of fat. I am looking into fat, obesity, cosmetic surgery and the idolisation of looking 'beautiful'/normal'. I also developed the piece by placing it on different body parts.
