In the Greek myth, Leda was ravaged by Zeus who had assumed the form of a swan. In my version of the story, it is Leda who possesses the power of transformation. Zeus beware!

The former Millennium Mills, once a derelict icon of London's industrial past is currently undergoing a transformation of its own to become luxury apartments and a business and leisure hub.
As you walk up and down the 138 steps of Frank Gehry’s staircase in the Art Gallery of Ontario, new geometric forms reveal themselves with every step. A photobook could be made with just photos of this staircase, but I will stop at these two three...
(After all, our new masters will only allow me 1,000 photos...)

The butterfly is one of the most emblematic totem animals symbolizing personal transformation. If you see the butterfly as your totem or spirit animal, pay attention to the areas in your life or personality that are in need of profound change or transformation. Perhaps, this animal totem guides you to be sensitive to your personal cycles of expansion and growth, as well as the beauty of life’s continuous unfolding. An important message carried by the spirit of the butterfly is about the ability to go through important changes with grace and lightness.
Butterfly Symbolism
What is the meaning of the butterfly? This animal totem is primarily associated with symbolism of change and transformation.
Powerful transformation, metamorphosis in your life, personality
Moving through different life cycles
Renewal, rebirth
Lightness of being, playfulness
Elevation from earthly matters, tuning into emotional or spiritual
The world of the soul, the psyche
A secondary meaning of the butterfly is about finding joy in life and lightness of being.
Just several months ago, these young pretty boys were colorless, skittish and not much different in appearance from their sisters.
The transformation into beautiful young males is complete and in the spring they will compete for the attention of eligible females in the countryside and the cycle of pheasant life will continue for another generation.
Ringed-neck pheasants after hatching in spring take between 2-3 months to become independent and can have up to a dozen or more siblings. If they make it through their first harsh Minnesota winter, they begin their mating season in mid-March.
Unlike some other birds, they are not monogamous and normally have a small harem they defend against intrusion from other males.
Once the female begins preparation for nesting, the male is nowhere to be found. He doesn’t help with nest building nor does he get involved in raising the chicks. Sometimes if you are lucky when driving in the countryside you can catch glimpses of tired, frustrated females reading self-help books in order to cope.
Though our pheasants are hardy birds, their lifespan is heavily influenced by the availability of food and adequate habitat during our inclement winters and cold springs.
A severe winter can see up to 50% of the pheasant population perish.

In Native American tales, the frog stands for transformation and growth. These meanings transcend into the spiritual world, where the frog symbolises cleansing, renewal, and the endless cycle of life and death.

This was my 3rd Barcelona trip….. each visit there is something new on Sagrada Família.
In 1882, construction of Sagrada Família started, it is anticipated that the building can be completed by 2026—the centenary of Gaudí's death.

This is a good reminder. When I think of where and how I was just a few years ago and compare that version of myself to where and how I am now, I can experience more gratitude for the tribulations that helped me get to better understand my true self. Granted, I’m still learning about myself and how to best navigate life, but I’m learning how to honor my true nature and see the beauty rather than focus on everything *wrong* or *bad* or *ugly*. I just “AM”. The more *myself* I Am, the more beautifully and gracefully I transform. The easier it gets. I enjoy life more and can be more present. My experience and how I see life is what transforms the more I understand what and who I Am.

When we went to a waterfall here in North Carolina over the weekend, this stunning butterfly was undeterred by the crowds around it. I watched as it fluttered around little mini-drops of water on the rock next to the flowing water, sunning itself and sharing its vibrant colors with us all.

Let’s all be like this butterfly. Let’s show our true, exquisite, vibrant colors boldly while we do the things that make our experiences in life more nourishing and fun!
I originally saw a before and after 2 stage transformation a long time ago over at Fab Joue aux Lego's photostream I think it was about a year ago, just after I came out of my dark age. I thought it was over at ToyWiz but I was mistaken!

I decided to give it some NWC love and take this great idea to the next level. The release of the Monster Fighters Wolf man made the complete transformation possible. In my opinion it's one of the most under-rated themes in Lego. I guess I love it because it combines those old B-Movies with some Steampunk elements, two things which really press my buttons!!
Thanks for the inspiration Fab!
