I didn't venture to the back, so I'm not sure if there's a reason (other than personal space) for such a big gap between the double seats or not.

It's yet another one of those "boomerang buses" seen at Stonebow on the 181 final journey of the day to Sheriff Hutton with Josh driving. Dennis / Plaxton / Transbus Mini Pointer Dart YJ04 LYD was last seen in York in a beige livery with vinyls on to advertise the electric bus due to run the university shuttle service Ub1 which was run under contract by Transdev at the time, when the electric Solo came this Dart then went on to run the Sb1 service between the university and Foss Islands Morrisons; when that service ended the Dart went back over to the other side of the hills and gained the 'polar bear' livery which had been intended to be applied to all buses surplus from their previous operations.

Transdev York vehicles parked up at the depot with no work to do this week. Nearest the camera is 2001 (F349WSC) an Alexander RH bodied Leyland Olympian new to Lothian in 1989, passing to Top Line Travel in 2005. MCW Metrobus 4004 (B241WUL) was new to London Transport in 1985 as M1241 (becoming London Buses Limited later that year). This passed to Top Line Travel in 2000. It is the only example of Transdev York"s city sightseeing vehicles with a closed top. On the fence side is 2002 (L778SNO), an Alexander (Belfast) RH bodied Leyland Olympian new to Dublin Bus in 1993 registered 93D10171. This was acquired by Veolia Transport in 2007 then acquired by Top Line Travel in 2008. Transdev Blazefield acquired Top Line Travel (city sightseeing) in June 2008, The York operations of Veolia Transport were acquired in August 2008, the combined business was renamed Transdev York in October 2008. The planned merger between Transdev & Veolia this year could mean these vehicles could be gaining yet another identity!
