Today the new bus contracts in the province of Utrecht started operation. This saw Transdev take over services from Qbuzz in the city of Utrecht. The wider regional services are retained by Syntus, however the company is now trading as Keolis, the name of it's French owner.
The electric buses that were operated by Qbuzz have passed to Transdev so can still be seen on the streets of Utrecht.

The Van Hool AGG300 double articulated buses, a type which had operated in Utrecht since 2003. However as Van Hool is no longer around a different builder was needed for such long articulated buses, 25 of these Solaris buses being chosen for Utrecht service 28.
Demonstrator BF63 HDC is on loan to Yorkshire Coastliner seen here at York Stonebow on the 843 to Scarborough.

I believe the first of this type to operate anywhere, a Volvo 7900 electric bus with MCV bodywork. Service 6 has been extended westwards from Central Station and replaces service 4 in Leidsche Rijn.

Besides Solaris buses, a large order was also placed with Yutong, here we see the 12 metre version.

A B7TL with retrofitted Gemini 2 frontage, Transdev York YL03ZAP (3611 - ex YC53MXX and X11VTD) is seen as it crosses the River Ouse on Bridge Street in York with the 10:00 CityZap service from Leeds.
Launched just over a year ago, CityZap is intended as a fast option between Leeds and York, aiming to prize railway passengers who may otherwise be dissuaded from using the slower Coastliner which runs via Tadcaster. Five B7TLs previously used on the Harrogate 36 are allocated to York depot for the service.
