Seen parked up in Blackburn is The Blackburn Bus Company, Optare Versa V1170, 237 YJ16 DWD.
New to the company in July 2016 and configured to BC40F.
Transdev York vehicles parked up at the depot with no work to do this week. Nearest the camera is 2001 (F349WSC) an Alexander RH bodied Leyland Olympian new to Lothian in 1989, passing to Top Line Travel in 2005. MCW Metrobus 4004 (B241WUL) was new to London Transport in 1985 as M1241 (becoming London Buses Limited later that year). This passed to Top Line Travel in 2000. It is the only example of Transdev York"s city sightseeing vehicles with a closed top. On the fence side is 2002 (L778SNO), an Alexander (Belfast) RH bodied Leyland Olympian new to Dublin Bus in 1993 registered 93D10171. This was acquired by Veolia Transport in 2007 then acquired by Top Line Travel in 2008. Transdev Blazefield acquired Top Line Travel (city sightseeing) in June 2008, The York operations of Veolia Transport were acquired in August 2008, the combined business was renamed Transdev York in October 2008. The planned merger between Transdev & Veolia this year could mean these vehicles could be gaining yet another identity!
