I don't know if these two couples even belonged together. But when I looked at the finished picture, I noticed this seemingly traditional division of roles and had to smile a little.
Along the streets of Kyoto there are many street food shops where you can eat traditional Japanese sweets.
In this shop two young students were buying dango.

Echinacea, or as I call it, coneflower, is supposedly a medicine, used by Native Americans. Many years ago, I worked with a lady who swore by echinaceas as a supplement to ward off the common cold. I grow it in my garden and love to watch the goldfinches eat the seeds.

The keffiyeh is a traditional headdress typically worn by Arab men made of a square of cloth, usually cotton, folded and wrapped in various styles around the head. It is commonly found in arid climate areas to provide protection from direct sun exposure, as well as for occasional use in protecting the mouth and eyes from blown dust and sand. Its distinctive woven check pattern originated in an ancient Mesopotamian representation of either fishing nets or ears of grain.
The keffiyeh (Arabic: كوفية, kūfiyyah, plural كوفيات, kūfiyyāt), also known as a (ya)shmagh (from Turkish: yaşmak "tied thing"), ghutrah (غترة), ḥaṭṭah (حطّة), mashadah (مشدة) or shemagh is a traditional headdress typically worn by Arab men made of a square of cloth (“scarf”), usually cotton, folded and wrapped in various styles around the head. Many Palestinian keffiyeh are a mix of cotton and wool, which lets them dry quickly and keep the wearer’s head warm. The keffiyeh is usually folded in half, into a triangle, and the fold is worn across the forehead. Often, the keffiyeh is held in place by a rope circlet, called an Agal or Akal.
