This stretch of Route 60 is the entire reason I drove an extra half-hour each time on my commute to college ... instead of taking I-64 which has much higher speed limits. But I graduated from UVa-Wise 9 years ago ... and this is part of a "cross-Virginia" trip my father and I took the week of 8/7-8/10, 2011. (Next, we will head back to Richmond along Route 58, while biking on the Virginia Creeper Trail) and then on Tuesday, hiking on another mountain.
Interesting FYI, there was NO Kudzu along this road when I drove it last in 2003. Now it seems an alien landscape.

A upgrade in Nelson, well worth the extra $50, booked a Toyota Yaris originally and was offered this. Leather interior, heated seats, pretty nice!
The intersection of Don Quichotte Boulevard and Grand Boulevard is where ÃŽle-Perrot Toyota was located from the mid-1980's to 2008, but, in 2009, it will move to a new location in Pincourt, on Boulevard du Traversier along Highway 20 near Cardinal Leger Boulevard.
This wasn't the first location for Ile Perrot Toyota; it used to be in a tiny building on Grand Boulevard across the street from Vivian Graham Elementary School (now école primaire Virginie-Roy).
