Thanks to its efficient hybrid drivetrain, the new Toyota Highlander is now also sold in Europe for the first time, or at least for the first time in the European Union (it has already been offered in markets in the former USSR).
Instead of lining up myself in front of Best Buy in the early morning of Black Friday, I went to "the Moon" as I figured there should not be any crowd in that place at all. Indeed, I only met a few souls. This is your one last glance of my lunar rover before I permanently donate it to the local PBS station so that I can continue to watch great shows like NOVA,and Nature, not to mention those master documentary series from Ken Burns.. In fact, I have seen an old video footage that astronauts from Apollo 11 practice their very first lunar rover over here. Also, you might recognize this particular spot if you watch Planet of The Apes or Star Trek V The Final Frontier.
I spent this weekend at my friends summerhouse up north in Chalkidiki, which is great for license plate spotting, so most of my uploads to come are license plate rather than car centred.
It took me a while to work out what these plates were, but the other has a 'Porsche Skopje'' license plate surround which was a clue. As far as I'm aware the Highlander wasn't sold in Europe so this was probably imported from somewhere far off.
