Exposed during renovation works in 2017, this tiled picture of cows in a rural scene had survived on the inside wall of 13 Upper Tooting Road, SW17. The picture dates from the 1920s\1930s when the shop was a branch of Maypole Dairy. This large chain (with around 1,000 stores) sold products including butter, cheese, margarine, eggs, and condensed milk. The shop has also been a drapers, an estate agent, a driving school and, most recently, a barbers. The picture survives behind modern wall panels.
