Those yellow DeWalt tools kind of stuck out like a sore thumb in that sea of Craftsman red!

Tools of the trade.

Different materials and material properities demand different tools. Zünd creasing tools are designed to process a wide range of materials with a variety of crease wheels.

12inch chocolate mud and ganache birthday cake with fondant tools, everything edible.

Sometimes the best tools are just pieces of scrap from the bin. You use them once in a pinch and then they become fixtures in the shop. I use this bar all the time. It’s great for binder bolts, bridges, and front derailleur braze-ons like this one. On an unrelated note, happy new year everyone! #brazeon #flux #chapmancycles

No matter how many times we go to the Saturday market in Newtownards, my father-in-law always has to have a wee look at the tool stall......everything from 20mm fuses to jump leads that would start a Chieftan Tank!!!

He never buys anything.....just likes looking :)

Hitachi’s slogan “inspire the next” was evident at Tameside College as myself and my peers enjoyed a photo-shoot endorsed by the company featuring their new selection of power tools.

Read about the experience on my blog here: m-l-photography.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/hitachi-power-tool...

Have to make another one of these that is a bit shorter, but it holds titanium braze-ons in place while tacking them.

This TOOL is perfect for teaching ... it's my remote control for my PowerPoint presentations.

I like to think that the dim classroom lighting and brightly coloured powerpoints make my North American Fur Trade history lectures more interesting ... but then again, I'm the prof and think this is a great subject anyway! :)

Thanks in advance for all that have and are stopping by .... I am enjoying looking at your images, but injured tendon in right hand means I'm not supposed to be typing. Shhh ... don't tell my doc!

tis a fork with blurry bits...my work here is done! ;o)

part 1, lesson 4

A friend of mine who works at the Historical Research Center where I volunteer found this tool years ago and has wondered what it is. It's about 6" long, is jointed and folds towards the rod, and is all metal.

I mentioned that I belonged to Flickr and knew that there were members with all sorts of knowledge and interests. I took a photo with my iPhone and am posting it on the off chance that someone can identify the tool and its use.

Category A: I know exactly what it is. It's a ______ used for ______.

Category B: I don't have a clue, but here's the name and the use that I made up.

It's a _______ and it's used for__________.

I look forward to your responses. ;-)

*Please state whether your response belongs to category A or B.
