Pen tool practice for digital media I. Turned out okay, but some of the dark lines are messy. Oh well, it's Scooby Doo, so I suppose it doesn't really matter.

the tool on top was purchased in the 70's, while the lower tool was purchased... closer to the year 2000. The older tool has a concave end of the threaded shaft, while the newer one has a flat surface. The shape of the handle where it attaches to the body is also different.

Power Tool
For this photograph, I decided not to use the Rule of Thirds. I found that placing the subject in the center adds to the simplicity and emphasis of the subject of the photo. I photographed the power tool actually being in use. There are sparks flying in all different directions, emphasizing the power and usage of the tool. The depth of field focuses on the subject, and the image is sharp and clear.
When capturing this photo, I set my camera into shutter priority. I set my shutter speed to 1/60th of a second because the picture was being taken outside, and I needed a low enough shutter speed to comply with a hand-held camera situation. My camera automatically set my aperture to f/7.1. I set my ISO to 400 because, again, the picture was being taken outside. A higher ISO would cause the picture to be too bright, and a lower ISO would cause the picture to be too dark.
I believe that I have earned an A for this picture because I have followed the rule of Simplicity, the picture is in clear focus, and the depth of field focuses on the subject.
Baghdad, 27 September 2018 - The United Nations mission in Iraq this morning hosted the International Gender Group which is a coordination mechanism among the Baghdad-based international community for advancing a women, peace and security agenda, in line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325.
Deputy Special Representative for Iraq of the United Nations Secretary-General, Ms. Alice Walpole, who chaired the meeting on behalf of UNAMI and UN WOMEN, underlined that the International Gender Group remained a valuable tool in enabling the UN and the wider international community to collaborate on assisting Iraqis, both the government and civil society, to deliver on Women Peace and Security, improving the situation and agency of women in Iraq. She noted that it was important that the IGG promoted common messages to amplify women’s voices.
Ms. Suzan Aref, the Coordinator and Rapporteur for the Cross- Sector Task Force on UNSCR 1325, provided an update on the status of the National Action Plan report on UNSCR 1325, focusing on its achievements and challenges and suggesting how to address gaps in the next plan. There was then a useful exchange of views on the need for a full role for women in the formation of the next government, and the importance of senior roles in the incoming parliament for Iraq’s many talented female politicians.
