A rather uninspired picture, but true to the day. I was Mr. Domestic fix-it guy this evening, so I thought this was appropriate.

Cultivator Teeth are durable powder coated teeth feature a narrow throat and a wide foot for thorough cultivation under the soil surface. One tooth can be used on the toolbar for laying off rows or as many as five for more intense cultivation. Another excellent feature is that they will work on Planet Jr. Wheel Hoe.

Sweeps can be used for weeding and shallow cultivation. These are easily mounted on the tool bar for working between rows. The 8” sweep blades can be adjusted on the tool bar for working with different width rows. The blades are designed to cultivate close to the plant without damaging the roots. The durable steel blades and cast iron are powder coated.

I love tools. When the batteries finally died on my 2002 model RIDGID cordless drill, I ventured over to Home Depot for a replacement. Get the smelling salts, Martha, the old Nickle Cadmium batteries are no longer available and the Lithium Ion replacements are really dear.

The solution?

For not much more than the cost of two batteries, there is a kit with a compact drill, a compact impact tool, two batteries, a charger, and a 'big mouthed' nylon carrying bag.

And the whole kit and kaboodle is warrantied for the rest of my life - free.

And the batteries will also work with my old drill!

Pretty Sweet!

A Scout Coupe goes tooling down America's Cup Avenue. We saw these 3-wheel, 2-passenger motor scooters all over Newport. (Bet the local drivers just love them!)

Some of the tools that I use for creating various things. I did this for a project I am working on in English, while I may not be the best writer, I was excited when I heard we needed at least one original piece of art.

The chap in control of this "dust cart" is no-where to be seen.

Perhaps he is "camera shy."

On his helmet he carries a camera of his own.

If he sees you dropping rubbish he takes a video picture of you

Be part of the 1853 Turon Rebellion re-enactment and tremble through a weekend complete with cannons, floggings, shootings and duels, market stalls, exhibitions and more.

At any time bushrangers may stick you up for your gold (coin).

Gold was discovered on the banks of the Turon River at Sofala in 1851. In the first few months of the gold rush, miners complied with the law of the day, but those who were not striking it rich soon objected to paying the 30 shilling licence fee.

Throughout late 1851 and into 1852 there were hostilities in the booming settlement, with fierce words between miners and the government until things came to a head in 1853.

The rebellion includes a re-enactment of events of February 18 that year, when more than 1000 miners, heavily armed and singing Irish protest songs, marched on the banks of the river demanding rights for miners.

I liked the shot to begin with but liked it even better after the post processing. I did a little different processing on this one. I think it really shows the gritty texture and age of these. This was taken in my Dads workshop where he used to tinker around with various projects. These drawers were used to store all sorts of tools.

This tool wrap was a custom design to the clients requests.

It is to carry ' wood lathe tools'.

A small sample of the type of tools are pictured.

It is made with a 1.5mm 'chrome split', 8 pockets approx. 60mm wide to accomodate any size lathe tool, plus 2 pockets to accomodate some pencils, and some leather cords( just to the left) to tie it altogether after its rolled up.
