We saw this last year at the Pinks All Out in Charlotte. I was glad to see it again. It was also nice to see that there are some 1969 Chargers that haven't been turned into the General Lee.

Day after Thanksgiving and the drilling commences...

Day 38 of the 365 Journey. Now that everything is getting back to normal I have some time to start and complete some tasks around the house. First thing on the list….clean up the mess that I made for this image. I’d have to say one of the longest set up shots to date. Even longer then “Man Kitchen”. I can’t wait to put in the attic ladder! My garage will one day be clean!

I think Sunday nap time is your friend!

"Does everybody know what time it is?"

"TOOL TIME!"

"That's right! Binford Tools is proud to present Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor!" :-)

Bought out of a fifty cent capsule toy vending machine in the lobby of a Burlington Coat Factory. I was trying really hard to get the hacksaw, but I failed. You can't even see the hacksaw on this promo sheet (www.eastcoastvendingsupply.com/item--Tool-Time--tool_time...), but it looked cool. The scale varies wildly on these, but I think the saw is close to 1:6. It might be fun to use some of these in a workshop diorama, but at least one is going on my keychain.

Go here to see the story of how my progress went on this weekend warrior home improvement project.

What we really loved about this project was the thrift we were able to employ. Luckily, we prefer white appliances because everybody else in the world is going to stainless steel. All of the appliances you see here are gently used - about a year or two old. They are all premium brands (something we could never justify buying new).

Oven - double convection Dacor - $700

Cooktop - five burner gas Thermador - $400

Hood - Kitchen Aid (out of box special at Expo) - $420

Dishwasher - Bosch (can't even hear it running) - $300

Sink (new) - Kohler apron front country sink - $560

Fridge - Sears top-of-line - $665

Counter tops - We splurged and went with granite - $4,100 installed (the installation was a trip with all the 45-degree angles. They were real craftsmen.)

Cabinets - original, but we had a friend build new doors and drawers for $1,150 (our best bargain of all). Four doors have glass now. We were going for the Arts & Crafts look.

Challenge Card!!! The challenge was to use up old stash and make a variety of cards with the same set. Usually I make them different colors but I had 2 sheets of awesome mustard paper to use up! Done!!! Father's Day for my son, my hubby and my dad! Thx guys❤

My wife wasn't thrilled about the way the green turned out in the bathroom. That was last summer.

Since then, I finished the new shower walls and installed the curved shower curtain rod. The final touch was the green old-school hamper my wife picked up in an antique shop. When we set it in there, I suggested that it pulled all the green together nicely (then reflexively ducked and held my arm over my head in self defense).

She AGREED..!!! She AGREED..!!! I didn't get clobbered.

So, the green stays and I don't have to repaint this room again. Now I just need to find some towel bars to hang.
