The tag says "how I spent my summer". Well .... it's been much longer than that. I ordered the doors last November; they were delivered in January; I took the old doors off and emptied out the cupboards in time for the marble counter tops to be installed in early March.

Since then, all of our kitchen stuff has been in boxes in the garage. Some of it has migrated back in as needed, but I'm ashamed to say that we've not done much cooking.

I finally got the doors painted and installed in September. Since then I've built and installed sliding shelves in all the cabinets.

We're finally moving back in. We bought brand new revere ware pots-pans, and they are finally liberated from the box.

Obviously the solution to my paint scraping woes was a 3300 PSI pressure washer and my local Heidi Keppert "Tool Girl".

This leaves me free to have a coffee and ... uhh..."supervise" ...

Our son, Paul Williams, and Calvin Silva finish a sheet metal tool for Kimani Cobb. It involved holding an apple in a barrel, but instead of holding it directly in her mouth, she held it indirectly through a mirror.

Fun shot!

Getting Ready for the Zombie Pub Crawl

April 28, 2007

Redoing our kitchen floor this weekend...and possibly all of next week/month/etc. It all depends on how much I can remember of the knowledge I gleaned from Tim Allen and Tool Time.

Don't worry...this won't hurt a bit....

My first test with multiplicity

..... on 4/21/2012 Alsfeld - Germany. Is so funny. This vehicle comes from the area. Binford Tools is a fictional manufacturer of the TV-Sitcom "Home Improvement" with Tim Allen as the lead.

As a larger-than-average person, I am always frustrated by the lack of space in a shower. Especially with a curtain that likes to swing in and stick to you. Add to that, the last shower wall kit had a soap dish in the middle right where my elbow constantly knocked the soap off.

So ... this is the remedy: a new shower wall kit (swanstone - it's the best thing since ceramic tile) with soap dishes in the corners, and a curved shower rod (like you see in some hotels).

I LOVE THIS SHOWER..!!!!
