Dentist toolbox from around 1900.

Painted several times but that is not original, that green.

After some research, I discovered that these cabinets were made with mahogany and usually varnished clear.

Customer likes it to become original again so here we go.

First thing is stripping all and I mean all paint off

Now all the mahogany is showing

a wooden toolbox inside an old wooden railcar.it was heavily ransacked and vandalized yet stuff like this still remains

Purchased 10/19/06. I finally broke down and bought the thing. He had it on promo. Came with a pretty cool graphic (rat fink is always cool, regardless of his history) and with a free hutch. It's hard for the tool trucks to carry hutches around with them, so it's coming via UPS in a couple weeks. This thing was way more than I wanted to pay, and it put me off buying the house for another year, but there was no more tricks to be had with my roll around. It was giving up.

This mini toolbox can be picked up at Harbor Freight. It solved my counter problem. I now have a place to keep pens, rechargeable batteries, cables, and charging blocks. All while opening up the counter space I lost with all the stuff being loose.

I plan to take some double sided tape to secure the radio and battery chargers to the lid. In the compartment below the lid I can store batteries and pens. In the top drawer I can keep charging cables, and in the bottom drawer i can keep additional charging blocks. This is a must have for counter management.

A lovely tableau of ancient Snap-On tools.

Sourced from the ghosts of Toolboxes past

A nice little sliding hinge allows you to have full access to whatever might be inside without it crashing down and give you a nasty concussion.
