Acentor común
(Prunella modularis)
Ave frecuente en zonas de montaña con abundancia de matorral y de sotobosque. En la mitad norte peninsular aparece en ambientes más diversos, pero en el sur se restringe a los sistemas montañosos. España alberga una población residente, a la que se unen en invierno acentores europeos pertenecientes a otra subespecie.

Identificación
Pájaro del tamaño de un gorrión común, con el pico fino y puntiagudo, y las patas fuertes y rojizas. De comportamiento huidizo, le gusta moverse entre la vegetación baja y caminar por el suelo. Tiene las partes superiores del plumaje marrones y con escamado pardo oscuro, semejantes al dorso de un gorrión común. La cabeza, la garganta y el pecho son de un color gris plomizo, más intenso en los machos, con la zona auricular y el píleo marrones. Las partes posteriores del vientre poseen un tono gris más claro, con los flancos marrones. Los jóvenes exhiben cabeza y garganta de color castaño, en lugar de gris, y muestran todo el plumaje fuertemente listado de pardo oscuro. La base de su pico es naranja amarillenta, mientras que los adultos presentan todo el pico negro.
The famous Oneonta Gorge in Columbia River Gorge was blocked by tons of logs at the gate when I visited last month. But that doesn't stop a lot people since you can find a way climb over them. Interestingly I found a chance to shoot this vortex view, since the logs slowed and changed the waterflow, which is not seen in many pictures, pretty cool to me.

I ended up taking 6,000 (yes, you are reading that correctly) photos of Grimes and some of them turned out pretty ok. Still tons of photo editing going on and all day was spent travelig and sleeping to recover from the post Coachella let down of returning back to reality.

Krishna is the first Tonner doll I ever bought. He came in damaged, no outfit, and now has typical "age marks" - the vynil chipping off around his shoulder joints. And I love him with all that. Although have Photoshopped the shoulders for a more realistic look.

Now , It is February. On the 2nd of this month this is Groundhog Day . We do not want sun because the marmot will be sacred of its shadow and go back to sleep. For once, I do not want a SUNNY day.
