A whimsical ceramic toadstool is simply accompanied with white Czech glass beads to bring out their own beauty, and then they are suspended from French-style earwires. All accents are sterling silver.

I took this shot at Jenkins Estate a long time ago thinking that one day I would use it for something.. I think now is the time... This is my Down Under Challenge since it is almost St Patrick's day, I can see all kinds of possibilities with this one...

The toadstools were growing in the garden, protected under a blanket of fallen leaves. I had to search for these amongst the leaf litter that had gathered in the garden overnight.

Everywhere in this beech wood the ground was covered with small purple toadstools and a few branches and trunks we covered with these shelf fungi.

I made the gills using fpdc. Amazingly, the last row of the gills (sc) had the same number of stitches as the last row of the red top, without me even thinking about it, so it was easy to sew together neatly.
