Everywhere in this beech wood the ground was covered with small purple toadstools and a few branches and trunks we covered with these shelf fungi.

This is the toadstool I made for the swap hosted by Lucykate crafts. This will be living with Jennifer in the UK. I hope she likes it, I had fun making it. It does take some coaxing to stand on it's own.
I made the gills using fpdc. Amazingly, the last row of the gills (sc) had the same number of stitches as the last row of the red top, without me even thinking about it, so it was easy to sew together neatly.
I'd not seen many toadstools, but then spotted these little ones whilst tidying up under the apple tree. I quite likd the "autumnal" colours.
