Smooth Toadfish

TJ McKenna explains the peculiar adaptations of the Oyster Toadfish while they begin the acclimation process. Acclimation is very important because the fish come from water that is different than ours it is essential to get the fish used to our water slowly so that the transition is not a shock.

Hard to find, but very rewarding when you do! This guy sports a beard that's truly funky. His eyes carry the same spotted camouflage as his skin. He's about a foot long, and is aggressive after you bother him with flash photography.

Paradise Reef. Night Dive. You can hear these guys croaking before you see them, hence the name.

are only found in the reefs of Belize. They like to hang out in holes waiting to ambush some unsuspecting small fish.

Tormentos Reef. Juvenile Drum--one of my faves. Very hard to catch a good photo of.

鰭用以在海底爬行。頭前端有絲狀物

用以誘捕獵物。毛躄魚(Antennarius

hispidus),亦屬之。
