Since the recession really took hold in 2009, I've been trying to document the number of shops in Brighton that have shut down.
In the first two weeks I had over 50 individual stores recorded, and this was just during my commute to work or images taken during my lunch hour.
Hopefully in 2010 we'll start to see some change.

La ofensiva de los Pericos de Puebla fabricó rally de cuatro carreras en el cuarto acto, destacando doblete con la casa llena de Alberto Carreón, esto sirvió para respaldar la serpentina de Héctor Galván, en el triunfo de los poblanos por pizarra de 5-1 sobre los Toros de Tijuana, con esto la Serie del Rey se coloca 3-1 a favor de los verdes.
Tijuana por segundo día consecutivo tomó primero ventaja; en la primera tanda, Olmo Rosario mandó al plato a José Guadalupe Chávez con sencillo productor al central, esto ante la serpentina de Héctor Galván.
Sin embargo en la parte baja del primer acto, Puebla emparejó de inmediato la pizarra con remolque de José Manuel Rodríguez, el tercer tolete de los emplumados mandó al plato a Nyjer Morgan que se embazó por pelotazo de Miguel Peña.
La ofensiva emplumada estalló en el cuarto rollo con racimo de cuatro carreras; con la casa llena, Rubén Rivera sacó roletazo dentro del cuadro, el panameño llegó quieto a la inicial barrido de cabeza, y José Manuel Rodríguez anotó la segunda carrera de los locales, posteriormente Alberto Carreón pegó doblete por todo el central para impulsar par de anotaciones, finalmente apareció Oscar Sanay con infield hit a la antesala para colocar la pizarra 5-1.
El bullpen de los emplumados lució a lo largo de cuatro entradas, con los brazos de Wes Torrez, Carlos Bustamante y Deunte Heath.
El triunfo se lo llevó Héctor Galván con labor de cinco entradas, aceptó cinco hits y una carrera, dio par de pasaportes y ponchó a tres enemigos. El derrotado fue Miguel Peña. El duelo para el quinto de la serie será entre Orlando Lara y Horacio Ramírez.
