No matter your political POV, all can agree these are rocky times. Not something one would be apt to smile about. However, like rocky times before us, we have a strong foundation that will help to see us through.

Another one from the archives, of a night when I was the first and only person to get around Nash Point on a dropping tide. the freshly exposed rock layers were still glistening from the tide as the setting sun coloured up the cliffs and clouds. I can't wait to experience these special moments the world can give us again. Times Like These is by Foo Fighters and I think I'll have a go at singing it today after my breakfast disco :))) Perhaps I;l get the children next door who sit on the wall and keep me company to join in on the chorus ;)))
Getting the background in the right spot took patience, it's part of the photo, and many times, the most difficult.

Old remainder of ancient tree, the altar of times long gone, pedestal for moss and shrooms. Memory lost in mists, left for younger trees, so they can live again and become ancient by themselves. Many leaves will fall before the old stump disappears completely.

Taken in my local park on a very misty day.
I adore the work of early pictorialist photographers, especially those of two giants of that era, Robert Demachy and Leonard Missone. This is yet another attempt by me to capture the feel of those times, may they never pass.
The real challenge is taking a street scene where no one is using a mobile phone. I failed at least three times here!

Today I took a bike ride and passed an old station that is now part of the route of the museum steam tram. I took a look around with my camera, of course. When I saw the desk I immediately seized the opportunity.
The pen is on a tissue. I have no proof photo, but I measured the tissue at home in the same diagonal and cut the photo so that the width is 7.5 cm.
Vandaag maakte ik een fietstocht en kwam langs een oud station dat nu behoort bij de route van de museumstoomtram. Ik heb er even rondgekeken met de camera natuurlijk. Toen ik het bureau zag staan heb ik gelijk mijn kans gegrepen.
De pen ligt op een papieren zakdoekje. Ik heb geen bewijs foto, maar het zakdoekje heb ik thuis in dezelfde diagonaal opgemeten en de foto heb ik zo uitgesneden dat de breedte 7,5cm is.
