A timelapse of the night sky by the Shawangunk ridge from about 9pm to 12am in mid-March 2012. The bright thing at the beginning is Venus. I lost count of how many planes flew through the shot.

constructive feedback welcome :)
Ok so the title is a bit deceptive. This wasn’t timelapse photography in the sense where the camera remains in the same spot and takes images at regular time intervals. I was taking the photos quickly one after the other as I was simultaneously panning the camera through an arc of different angles/positions relative to the subject matter. But when I was thinking about what to title the image “timelapse flutter” just seemed right. I love how none of the 3 images stands on its own, but put together it’s suddenly compelling. At least to me. I like the color palette too.
Shovelling the snow in front of the house. We have a parking pad, so there's hardly anywhere to put the snow. Timelapse made using CHDK on my Canon ELPH, processing done with ImageMagick and OpenShot. Music: "Skipping in the No Standing Zone" by Peter Gresser.
In timelapse, Chris scales a boulder in Bishop's Buttermilk territory. This sequence was taken back in July but sat idle and forgotten on my hard drive. This is short - only 12 seconds... but it's fun!
The music snippet is "Blitzkrieg Bop" by the Ramones.
One day I hope to find an easy to use animation program that doesn't assume everything must be in landscape mode. For now I used Picasa3 to create the movie.

Trying to get the girls in frame was a bit of a miss as they kept running behind the film. Also before I go out and take photos next time I'm going to format my memory card so it stops cutting out before the film has fully developed. I like how much of the background you can see though. And again the speed its been sped up to is too much making it hard to understand whats going on in the background.

NOTE: I HAVE SINCE PUT UP A NEATER CANDLE VID. This was part of the learning curve.

I am slowly building a library of little "timelapse" movie clips. I consider this a study, in that I see some things I need to change. 1) Go to strict manual exposure so as to keep consistent background. 2) Find a way to light the candle so that it and the flame are of about equal exposure value. As is, I lost candle detail by trying to expose for the flame.
Timelapse taken with my iPhone.
My wife baked a bunch of Christmas goodies this weekend so the least I could do was clean up the house. Please forgive the low quality it was taken with my iPhone.
A short timelapse sequence from the Open Allotments service in the small Nottinghamshire village of Edingley.
The sequence comprises 900+ frames shot with a 3 second interval and exposure of 1 second achieved using a 6 stop ND filter (Lee Filters Little-Stopper).
Sequences edited with LRTimelapse 5.0.8, Lightroom Classic CC and Premiere Pro CC
Took pictures with a 5 second interval. Did this for about 15 minutes and resulted in this 10 second video.

Se ve la vía láctea..... :) Toda mi vida he estado viendo ésto.... desde la casa de mis padres admirando el cielo en las noches de verano...
Lástima que la gente no se dé cuenta del daño que hace la luz artificial ... madre mía....

A timelapse video out of my kitchen window on 27/02/2011. Photo every 15 seconds for roughly 6 hours.
Here is my second attempt at a timelapse of Orion. This one turned out better than the first I think! I taped 2 pocket warmers to the side of the lens and it prevented all dew! :) It is worth the 15km bike ride to get to the edge of town, the sky is definitely darker here than where I live..

My first attempt at a timelapse. Quite pleased with it but will get better.
I was very fortunate with the weather and the wind but I took this at Goathland
1) Echinocereus baileyi (cut short when I didn't realize it was set to stop after 300 pics)
2) Opuntia humifusa x fragilis
3) Opuntia cymochila x polyacantha
4) Opuntia caespitosa
stopmotion timelapse of a rose dying over 5 days. The biggest challenge of this was definitely the length of time it was shot over. I wasn't able to have a space where I could just leave lights and a camera set up, so I just tried to mark the spots where they were positioned. As I shot this indoors I was able to keep the lighting pretty much the same for every shot, but the camera settings/angle does jump around a little, though with a bit of cropping/editing I managed to minimise it a bit. I ended up quite liking this and it came out better than I had hoped for- though like the sunset timelapse I think it would've benefited from twice as many shots, though I kind of like the jumpy stopmotion feel.
