Sさんがすすめてくださった本。
何冊かのうちこの本の写真が素晴らしくて一番刺激を受けました｡
これはパブのガイドブックなのだけど、載っているのはいわゆるガイドくさいこんな店だよ的な写真ではなくて､パブの空気が伝わってくる写真。ちゃんとその店の風景が見える写真。
まるで写真集のよう｡
この編集自体にも驚いたけど､そこには、私がこんな風に撮りたいと思っていたショットが次々と。。。そのひとつひとつがパブとそこにいる人々の息を感じる写真でした。
こういう、生きている、ライブなパブの写真が撮りたいんだよね・・・とても難しいけれど。
とＳさんと語って、頑張ろう、と誓った｡

Three stuffed guys sprawl on a couch in Oxford, Connecticut as if mowed down by machine-gun fire, after earlier partaking of a sumptious Thanksgiving feast. About this time, they were supposed to be engaged in lively conversation with other family members. But there they were, dead to the world. The TV was on, showing a New England Patriot's game, but it went unheard and unseen. Well, at least they're not trying to be something they aren't.
