Further revision on my Back to the Future time machine, using the Speed Champions wheels and mudguards.
Also managed to build a slight angle into the hood (which looks a little more piecemeal in these close-up pics than it does in person) and improve on the gull-wing doors.
Clare College, University of Cambridge. One of the things I love about historic cities is that they pull you back in time. You become a time traveller. Then, suddenly, you are brought brought back in time. Cambridge does that to me.
“It's against reason," said Filby.
"What reason?" said the Time Traveller.” H.G. Wells, The Time Machine.
Every photo has a story. The story (or stories) in the picture, as seen by the viewer, and the hidden, often personal, story. I'd like to share more of these stories but am often constrained (time etc). Take this one. I was enjoying the view of the river from Clare Bridge when I turned round and saw this rather photogenic gentleman approaching. Behind him was this beautiful classic car. Wow. Snap that quick! And I just about managed (not happy, but it froze the moment). It took me back in time. As the man came closer I realised it was Tim. And that is another story!

At first I wasn't going to build this. I know it's a classic, but many other people have already built it and with the Cuusoo LEGO set soon out, soon everybody will have one.
However, it is a cool vehicle and I'm not impressed by the preliminary pictures of the set. I realise that the set designers have a lot of constraints placed on them that I don't, but I figured I could build a nicer version.

Time Portal laboratory is another creation in Second Life by Frau Jo Yardley, the creative force behind the 1920s Berlin sims. It's a fun place to use to take trips to Ancient Rome; Tudor, Victorian or 1940s England; or 1920s-40s or 1950s/60s USA. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Time%20Portal/126/124/1930

The Royal Palace in Amsterdam is one of three palaces in the Netherlands which is at the disposal of Queen Beatrix by Act of Parliament. It is situated in the west side of Dam Square in the centre of Amsterdam. It was built by Jacob van Campen, who took control of the construction project in 1648, as the Town Hall for the City of Amsterdam.
When looking at the image below it seems when you look good history will come back. Well just had a little PS time machine fun. Let's go back in time. The difference is just about 110-120 years ;-).

Lomo Turquoise; shot at ASA100, kind of cloudy day; Zeiss Ikon Nettar 6x6 full on mechanical manual focus everything. The most portable lightweight medium format contraption ever. Delivered despite my focus guessing in meters, which is not my strong suit.
The car is BLUE, but the film made it BROWN. Crazy. Fun.
I didn't have time to do a pic yesterday for 'Flash Your Fur Friday'.
- Quick, get me a time machine.

This is a full view of our Time Machine Redivivus that I posted a couple of sneak peeks of a few days ago. It still isn't finished but getting close. Today was all about unloading the trailer we haul the steampunk emporium in and putting the time machine in so we can decide how to pack around it so we can take it all to future conventions we have booked. We plan on having it on display in our booth for photo ops as well as using it for a parade vehicle.
As our family is demanding a lot of time I find less time to ride my bike, let alone make an effort to take decent pictures of my riding.
This was one of those rare times I got to ride my bike and take some flashes in addition to my camera. Didn't even forget my memory card, or the cables for my radio triggers. Well done me!
Anyway, this is pretty much just documentation, as I've shot this trick at this location many times before. I still enjoy the riding, and the photos captured along the way. I hope you do, too!

Quote : How You imagine a time travel machine ?
Time travel to the past is theoretically possible in certain general relativity spacetime geometries that permit traveling faster than the speed of light, such as cosmic strings, traversable wormholes, and Alcubierre drives.

Sneak peek at what Mike has been hard at work building and is getting close to finishing .... a Time Machine! Tonight we took it for the first spin up the block and it is really cool. Next picture shows the view from where we ride. I promise photos of the finished project soon!
I made the time machine that appeared in the movie [The Time Machine].
It's also a steampunk style, and it's my favorite machine.
I would like to improve it in the future so that the reproducibility can be improved.
