Since my D80 doesn't do timelapse I tethered it to my MacBook Pro and used an automator workflow to shoot the sunset. I only wish I would have set it for more than 45 minutes. The sky just exploded after the sun went down below the horizon.
I've fancied having a go at some timelapse stuff using the dSLR for a while now so I thought I'd do a mini timelapse......using a mini!

Today I decided to shoot some timelapse from Cottonwood Canyon back through Summerlin on Hwy 159. Shooting the Ace Pro on a suction cup on my Jeep hood.
First timelapse I tried with the Nikon D7100, much improved after learning more about how video works!
D7100, on tripod
Interval photography active
1 phone every 30 seconds
in software turned into video series
still duration 4 frames
converted to mp4 video
Next time will try manual focus and white balance, that should help with flickering effect, and also take more photos at faster interval to capture more detail.
So here's the timelapse I took while up on the roof here at work. I will say it is still very scary for me to leave my camera on a windy roof for a couple of hours without being able to see it. Especially because if it were to fall it would have fallen right past my window and I would have been able to see it's demise.
The timelapse I shot was a little longer but I though 30 seconds was enough.
Note on the song playing. I'm listening to NPR today at work and there was this artist that I've never heard of named Michael Kiwanuka. He's really good, listened to his interview and some of his work and shortly after bought it on iTunes. So the song playing is one of his.
Timelapse video of activity in and around Toronto's downtown core made with a Nikon D300.
Music is 'Working for the Enemy' by Alan Jones from the soundtrack to the film 'The Bank'.
Se han utilizado 386 fotografÃas para montar el timelapse, en el que 2 horas de vida real se ven reflejados en apenas 40 segundos de vÃdeo.

Gary is building me a time-lapse controller for my camera, and this is the first "test" of the barebones unit. It still has a couple of bugs but in the interest of science, I've put together the timelapse video. :)
I finally got a satisfactory result from my "customized" timelapse timer. The whole rig can now be run from 12V DC power, draws 0.5 amps (6 watts power consumption), and now uses an external intervalometer setup that triggers the camera via IR.
Camera: Nikon 1 V1
Lens: 10 mm f/2.8
ISO: 100
Exposure Time: 1/15 second
Lens Filter: ND2+ND4+ND8
Time between exposures: 2 seconds
Video at 24 frames per second
24 times real-time speed
I have never landed in fog like that. I've flown in storms, clouds and turbulence, but nothing was as freaky as the time in the fog.
This is an experiment.
I was trying to combine multiple images into one from left to right. This image combines 13 images as the sun was setting in Sudbury, Ontario.
I like the way it turned out, and I have some ideas for my next attempt at one of these. :) Best viewed large.
I'm a newbie in timelapse, this is my 2nd test, the second I show to anybody. See the great work of Ben Canales www.flickr.com/photos/bencanales/
and you'll know what I'm looking for. Please tell me what you think, folks.
Made from my window, jet planes crossing by, and dogs barking. Mistakes: filters on (never more!), banding (bad resolution), Auto WB on, and no soundtrack yet, sorry. Next time, maybe!
Nikon D5000, AI Nikkor 28mm f/2.8
Bought an intervalometer for my eos 50d, and this is my first experiment with it. Looks like there's a lot of fine tuning to work on for future projects :-) But timelapse is fun!
Pues eso, un timelapse que hice en la playa de Torrenueva.
A ver si el siguiente lo hago mas larguillo y pillo la puesta de sol...
Timelapse of the sunrise from my kitchen made with Gawker.
At the end you can see a reflection of the macbook screen border in the window.
This is my first attempt at doing any time lapse photography and making it into a movie. Time Elapsed: 1:51
Great News! I have a new Website to showcase my photography! Check it out.

Timelapse done by Kev and his coworker.
Shot in their parking lot over the span of a few hours in the afternoon one day.
Over the past 2 years I've had a time-lapse weather camera out my window. I've posted a few other videos in the past. I always enjoy seeing clouds sped up. They billow and move in ways you don't often perceive with your eye. This was taken May 23, 2011 and covers a period from about 7am to 8:30pm. You can catch quick glimpses of the men who are reroofing our house.
Soundtrack: "Living Mice" by C418
bought myself an intervalometer :) though I'm still working out the settings on my camera to get it right, but anyway, here's a first attempt at a timelapse using my 600d
edit - and apparently I'm still working out the settings to edit videos.... as my first upload attempt on this video failed a bit.... (if at first you don't succeed.......)
thanks to those who Favorited the last one, hopefully this ones better....er....
Mein Erstes Video auf Flickr! ein Timelapstest mit der D300s. -- Die Aussicht aus meinem Zimmer...
999 Frames, Postprocessing in Lightroom, Aftereffects, Finalcut.
Irgendwie interessant!
Eine Vimeo Version gibt es hier:
Irgendeine Idee, warum das nicht 100% Flüssig läuft?
Sowohl Aftereffects als auch Finalcut haben das Als 30f/s bearbeitet!
Woran Kann das liegen?!
