This is Tigger, faithful guardian of Sugar Mill Gardens in Port Orange, FL. Tigger lives on the gounds and greets those who visit. Yesterday, Knowing it would be freezing, I brought him a nice, warm blanket, which he promptly cuddled into, but today when I returned to check on him. the blanket was gone.

Today, anticipating this, I brought him a little cat bed with another blanket. It is expected to go down to 26 degrees tonight. He seems sick. His nose is runny and he walks like he's hurting. He was drooling when I fed him some treats- something my cat, Squeegee does, and Squeeks does it when he's in pain. (He's been on pain meds for years.) It breaks my heart because Tig is a lot like Squeeks in temperament and looks.

UPDATE: I went back to see Tigger after work today. He was doing just fine, thank God!

Here's something neat...I was thinking (out loud to God) yesterday that I wished I knew a man who could build a really cool cat house for Tigger- something so pretty that they wouldn't remove it! Today, an upholsterer I know named John came in and mentioned that he was now building cat houses! (This was without hearing about Tigger!) Hopefully, John will be able to do this for him, and I will be able to afford the materials and labor to do it!

I stopped at the vet on the way home and picked up Advantage for Tig. I got the kind that also kills ear mites and intestinal parasites, so he should be flea free and happy for the next month. I also brought him treats and tuna, which pretty much spoiled him for the treats! I tried to brush him, but he took one look at the brush and ran away! Must've had a bad experience at one time. It did my heart good to hear that they found him curled up in his new bed and blanket this morning.

Heavily processed image of Tigger in Yubari (I think), processed as a series of glowing black lines.

Tigger wanted me to stop paying attention to my computer and pet her instead. And pictures don’t count!

This photo of Tigger was taken wayyy back in the day the first year we got him.

He's going to be 7 this summer...I think. haha.

But this photo is infamous among our family and friends.

I don't remember who's idea it was to do this, I actually think it was my mom's so if you're against doing this to animals, DON'T HATE ME! haha. But don't worry, we've been good to him since then :)

Anyways, this is for PPT.

The theme is pretty pink disguise.

I was planning on catching up today but I got home super late and I have to go to bed like...nowish. 0_o sigh. Tomorrow. Hopefully. Really sorry you guys. :/

May 13 2021.

Tigger didn't want to use the computer anymore and so decided to rest behind it on the table with a nice bottle of herb tea.

Picture of Tigger in her nest (a blanket conveniently left in place for her by Naomi).

For my house warming party, a sweet coworker gave me a candle in a bottle. Little did she know it would be perfect for the Ghetto Lighting assignment. And it was, but I also used some additional candles, as can be seen in the first comment.

Lens info: this was taken with the Sony A6000 kit lens (16-50/3.5-5.6). I also tried some shots with my Nikon 35/1.8, but there the bokeh circles turned out far too large. So the kit lens wasn't too bad after all...

Tigger appears to be smiling as she rests on the futon this evening.

Tigger on the table, guarding my Assam tea (she would prefer a name change to "Tigger Tea") as it steeps.

Tigger on my lap late in the morning. She is very weak and when she purrs, you feel it more than hear it and her meow is not much more than a whisper.

My wife and I and our friends, Steve and Vivian, spent Christmas in Laiji Village in Chiayi County. After a huge Boxing Day lunch we took a walk into the surrounding hills and into a small farming village and then back down to the restaurant. Tigger was getting pretty tired by this point.

Inspired by the famous "Drawing Hands" drawing by M.C. Escher, Tigger wanted to make something similar. Here's the latest attempt. Still not perfect, but getting a bit better every time.

Happy Toy-in-the-frame Thursday!

Norio knew that Tigger was very ill and so tried to help her by grooming her, which she thoroughly appreciated. Taken in early April of 2020 - Tigger would died from cancer a little over two weeks later.

Fondant Tigger.

This is our king of the castle Tigger. He loves attention but does not want anyone to know he does. Very much Morris the Cat attitude.

Tigger was very upset at the vet (not necessary with her diagnoses, but with the exam itself). Her pride was hurt when we had to hold her in undignified positions so the vet could feel her tumor. After being place back into her carrier, she sulked until we got back home and she got a cat snack.

Norio and Tigger at Naomi's parents' house in the middle of April of 2016, a few days after moving to Japan with Naomi. They weren't very happy but Yuba was the unhappiest of all and hid most of the time...

Tigger used to love to rest with her front legs stretched out in front of her, reminding me of a flying cat. This was taken in California in June of 2014.

Party time is Tigger time. Collection: Pooh and Friends.

I had to post this shot...was just too cute.

Tigger decided she likes the floor chair as well. The cats seem to think this little chair is perfect for them. I have to chase them off if I want to use the chair (and then they return and sit on my lap).

Tigger always wants to be friends with the other cats (except for Argent - her big rival). She tries to get close to Bonkers sometimes but he’s old and cranky and meows in annoyance to her. That doesn’t stop her but fortunately she doesn’t pester him. Here, she is sleeping close (but not so close as to annoy him) to Bonkers on the futon. Since Bonkers is also sleeping he is not annoyed...
