Tiger Woman from Disneyland Haunted Mansion (California, Anaheim)

All these images were taken at Marwell zoo last year. This is just a few of my images from there and i hope to post some more a bit later. It's a great place to visit but be prepared as it's all in the open and spread out.

shot in La Barben Zoo, south of France, close to Marseille

Taken at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation on 11 Sept 09.

Such a beautiful creature yet so dangerous. I'd give it a great big hug if I was not considered tiger food.

This week the Philadelphia Zoo placed on exhibit three Amur Tiger cubs which were born at the zoo this past May. Their names are Changbai, Koosaka and Terney. There are two males and one female. They can tell who is who by the markings above their right eye.

These shots were taken on a cloudy day behind glass and they were pretty far away. My plan is to try and get some closer sharper shots on future visits.

I must say, I really got annoyed at first that this tiger did always blink just when I pressed the shutter. But regarding the fact that the Tiger blinking is now my most favorited photograph, I'm happy to give you another shot ;)

Best viewed large.

Cats will be cats...regardless of size and ferocious levels, all cats love to clean their selves. Boy this cat's tongue is big...

Tigers-- grilled --just--lovely and juicy--some with chilli sauce and some --just black pepper and lemon juice

Wingham Wildlife Park, Kent, England

Confusingly it was just some minutes before they got their food.

Such a picture is usual for a lined tiger, not for a hungry one. ;-)

Tiger feeding - you have to be quick to catch them as they fly up these poles.

A male tiger scent marking his territory.

Ruby tiger moths (Phragmatobia fuliginosa) mating. Surrey, UK.

Flew in like a small red whirlwind. Only when they eventually paused for breath was I able to identify them as two moths.

I believe these are 2 of the 3 Amur cubs born 5/22/10.m I'm sorry I didn't see them when they were smaller. The 3 Malaysian cubs were born 4/5/10. They weren't out. The zoo website has great videos of the tiger and bearcubs in the snow. Bear area still closed for winter.
