Another shot of my long sought after waterfall hidden away in Garsdale, this time in black and white.

I think the mono treatment helps emphasise the tiers and structure of this lovely layered waterfall. This was a long exposure using a 6 stop filter!

I visit Monrepos not only because of the squirrels but because of the birds there too. This Great Tit looks as if he posed nicely but they never sit still for more than a second, even if I bribe them with birdseed. :)

Here is one my Quokka friends at the zoo. The ground of their enclosure is covered with autumn leaves at the moment which makes a nice entertainment for the Quokkas. Leaves are part of their diet but they choose carefully which ones they want to eat. Apparently they have a preference for the juicy yellow leaves whereas the dry brown ones are ignored. :)

The Southern Tier Line has been a sea of yellow and orange for the better part of a year now. I'm not sure why, but Norfolk Southern seems to rarely run their own power on the line these days. The good thing is that nowadays all the trains seem to run in daylight, so you can actually enjoy the railroad again. That was the case on Monday when I got 5 trains over 6 hours or so on the north end of the railroad. I started with 310 and had this 264 close behind with the best leader of the day on the front end, but they got shoved in the hole at Linden to wait for multiple trains and a maintainer to pass. 3 hours would pass before I could get this shot, so while I was waiting on the parade I just sat by the road and enjoyed the weather and colors in the trees. I ended up coming across the homeowner of this property, so we got to talking about the state of the railroad and I ended up asking if I could photograph on his land instead of from the road. Late fall orange surrounds the vibrant head end units as they rush their way south to Gang Mills and points beyond. Having time to scope out a location, a kind homeowner, and some good ol' patience created this frame.

My first real job and I'm good ! No unwanted bug will go anywhere near those tomatoes as long as I am here. I wanted to pee on them to make sure everybody knows that these are MY tomatoes but mum didn't like the idea. Humans are strange.

Met during my walk. I wanted them to step back a bit to avoid the fence, but they were fascinated by my dogs tied to a stake a little further.
