Goldfinch with Great Tit [Carduelis carduelis & Parus major]

A lovely sunny morning. I was at The Pixies, where I feed the wee birdies, and one of the newly returned goldfinches was quick to appear on the scene. There is quite a difference in size! The wee Goldie had quite a lot to say about the Great Tit landing so close by, but she carried on eating, when the big guy didn’t respond.

ich beobachtete das Tier, ein Fischotter konnte es nicht sein, ein Biber auch nicht (der Schwanz war zu dünn)..etwas später sah ich es am Ufer: dicklich, kleine Öhrchen, wache Augen, nicht sehr sympathisch...

Marmots keep watch, Murmeltiere im Ötztal

Eigentlich leere ich die Krümel unseres Brotkorbes direkt an unserer Terrassentür für die Vögel aus, aber auch dem Mäuschen schmeckt es :-)

Actually I empty the crumbs of our bread basket right on our patio door for the birds, but they also taste good for the little mouse :-)
