I have not dabbled in still life photography for a while now. This was an attempt from yesterday. Do you know what these pink berries are? Did I hear you say pink peppercorns then you are on the money. I have never seen these ever in Sydney but they are found in abundance in Melbourne - all over the suburbs and along train tracks. We visited a distiller last year and he actually uses these berries sparingly in his gin for a peppery hit.

These are not spring blossoms - it's heather, which blooms in the winter here, as well as in summer.

A bit back I uploaded this 'serious' light and shade shot, showing only Finn from the neck down, with shorts on, and along came Daisie and posted a Note on Finn's tum saying 'Tickle Tickle'. It beautifully punctured the 'serious' tone of the pic, and gave me such a great, good laugh! One of those real lol moments, not one of those, let's type lol when our faces can't even manage a smile. And then others commented on seeing all sorts of funny things in/on Finn's shorts! SL Flickr has to be fun too, right? So, in fun, here is Finn in a lace jock, getting a tickle from those masterpiece hands ! Hope you like the pic Daisie. This one is for you! 😘 xox 🐒

Pink layered sunrise across the street from my house. It was one of the brightest red/pink sunrises I have seen. And one of the coldest...brrrrr!!!
I haven't had much time for Flickr this week, so I'm sorry, but that's why most of you have just gotten faves from me. I have more time tomorrow so will be able to comment again. :)
This, in case you're wondering, is an autumn grass, shot from the very tip of it, with autumn leaves as the bokeh. Not much done in post.

Foxglove, Digitalis sp., showing off the bristles that probably serve some essential function, I suppose. Intended to do a focus stack here, but the flowers milled around in a light breeze instead of moving in concert.

I am in the midst of boxes, packing and my place is like the inside of a crazy persons mind and I am just taking a few minutes out to pop in and say hi quickly. Who knew I had so much 'stuff' !!!!. I thought about 'air tasking' it all out - however its a great opportunity for me not just to move but to do a big spring clean of my life too.
I did not plan to get up early on Friday morning - did not set the alarm however woke very early and knew the construction drilling would start shortly across the road so popped down quickly to Bondi which had the most unusual colours going on .
That colour just behind North Bondi as the sun was rising is how I feel right now as I am absolutely tickled pink to be moving so close to the ocean - with 10ft waves forecast for the weekend of my arrival next Friday down at Bronte.
Hello to all my fine flickr friends and bear with me another week or two until all this is complete and I can pop by for a chat :).

While travelling from A to B, my better half prefers we get there ASAP. However, with the motto, "You never know till you go." sometimes I am aloud the B route. Or rather, the direction that allows us to investigate. Don’t get me wrong, I would be lost without this navigator.
The opportunity to take a more circuitous route resulted in a very unusual find. An abandoned, brilliant pink train car was within my grasp. The find of the day and a rare one at that.
