Rich Beem discusses what makes Royal Portrush thus special and appears at the challenges facing Rory McIlroy at The Open.
The Open Championship is usually nice, however, I feel the players are attending to fancy themselves in the week, not like the other. St Andrews continually involves the mind like an exquisite Open venue, however Portrush, for me, simply has one thing special.
I inspect this golf links and consider it because the final take a look at because it causes you to specialize in each single a part of your game simply a touch bit higher than the opposite venues on the Open roll.
I 1st came to Portrush in 2012 and simply couldn't get enough of the place, even with all the wind and rain that week, because the golf links and therefore the fans were simply unbelievable.
They've modified the seventeenth and eighteenth holes since then, which could are thought of a touch boring as there wasn't an excessive amount of about them. the 2 holes they have a place in seem like they've been there forever and simply build this place look even higher.

Thus begins a week of generally quite bad photography. You are forewarned.
This was a macro shot of Black Sticky Gingerbread Recipe from 101cookbooks.com . It was very dense and moist cake - if I make it again, I'll probably do it in a loaf form (possibly a half recipe as well - it rose a LOT).
Thus, through his own painterly articulation, Zhiying gives us an interesting insight as to how Bacon influenced Schnabel in terms of form, drama, and showmanship, if not in subject matter. But his own transmutations of the British painter’s imagery are even more interesting for their brilliant fluidity, with the central figuratively allusive forms metamorphosing muscularly into sinuous biomorphic clusters set against expanses of fiery red seemingly Abstract Expressionist brushwork from which distorted Baconish faces emerge when one steps back from the canvas.
And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And...
Nudibranchs are a group of sea slugs characterized by having no shell, thus having their gills exposed. The name in latin, nudibranchia means precisely that: nudi (nude, exposed) + branchia (gills).
Instead of the protective shell, the nudibranchs use other intricate defense mechanisms and that's one of the reasons they are such an interesting group to study. Not to mention their exquisite appearance.

Thus says the Lord GOD: "This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the midst of the nations and the countries all around her."

A half-length statue of the prophet Elijah, made in gilded and painted wood. This object originates from early 17th century Spain.
A conflation of words from Denis Glover's poem and Edgar Allen Poe's poem. I painted four magpies (Australian of Gymnorhina genus) five years ago, two best went into windows for Cottage and Pippa, these two needed a home. Work in progress; lettering will be edged darkly, greens variously distributed elsewhere. These will go in Bathhouse with seascapes, moa skellington and Wainui hillscape.
We're back in the U.S., and thus ends a really wonderful year abroad. Hopefully I'll be able to finish dumping all my Spain photos over the next few days, and then do my Scotland photos before heading off to GECCO '08 in Atlanta next week.
This is a large batch from Granada. There are quite a few taken from the top of one of those double decker tour buses with Sub-Evil Boy. There are also a bunch from walking around the old town with WeatherGirl and Sub-Evil boy. This included a visit to the museum in Casa de los Tiros, which had an neat (and only semi-comprehensible given our limited Spanish) exhibit on some custom involving floats for Corpus Christi (?) parades of a mythical beast ("La Tarasca") combining the features of numerous other creatures, as well as exhibits on Spanish history and culture. At the end I caught some very cool evening backlighting on a fountain, and had too much fun :-).
Dragon symbols have thus been present in Ljubljana since ancient times. The dragon was originally present on the medieval coat of arms as a decoration, but later assumed a more central position. From its initial portrayal as a monster, the dragon gradually transformed into a symbolic protector of the city, embodying power, courage and wisdom.
When the architect Giorgio Zaninovich drew up his plans for the Franz Joseph I Jubilee Bridge in 1900, his original design envisaged winged lion statues adorning the ends of the bridge. In the final design, however, the lions were replaced by the great statues of dragons that are today one of Ljubljana's most famous sights. www.visitljubljana.com/en/visitors/explore/things-to-do/s...
