“A wall out of mud is beautiful and satisfying,” said DeGrazia, “but a wall of mud and straw is a union of materials that are in complete harmony and produce an aesthetic feeling, long to be remembered. To me this is the great Southwest.” Happy Throwback Thursday!
I chose this throwback since a lot of people are traveling these holidays. Happy and safe trips! Have a great new year!
Jordy Nelson, Brad Jones, and Nick Collins model the new throwback uniforms that the Packers will be wearing this year.
I was sorting some old photos and found some that I had taken in the production area where I was employed as a graphic designer. Without all these machines and pieces of various equipment it would not matter that we upfront spent time to design a beautiful piece of art or that our sales staff worked hard to secure the account because without production and all the pieces of machinery we could not produce the final (book, magazine, brochure, poster, etc) that shipped to the public which enabled us to stay open for business. Yeah for machines . . .

Willy the Hill Billy says it's good. So, I went and got me a twelver and he was right..
For the second time (following the last year’s Pepsi Throwback) PepsiCo Inc. is trying to bring back to life the new ‘retro campaign’. This time it is titled Mountain Dew Throwback after the famouse Mountain Dew brand.
Containing real sugar (not artificial sweeteners, which became so popular recently), the campaign reminds those days of summer camping, disco parties, TV dinners on Friday nights followed up by a late night of 8-bit gaming to young Americans (SoCal kids), who know who the Willy the Hillbilly is.
Throwback to my first ever photoshoot, I was using a semi professional camera and had no clue what I was doing, with my dad at my side we set off with our model, Amy, to a lakeside to get some "glamour" shots. It's funny because this photo was only ever a light reading, I shot it in black and white (yes I know, I was young okay) but when I reviewed my shots afterwards there was just something about it that made it for me.. very successful day, just over a year ago.
This week we are going back twenty-nine years to RA 230 passing through St. Stephen's Green dressed for route 15A.
Route 15A started running between the city centre and Whitehall Road in Perrystown in 1949. In 1978 it was extended to Greenhills, and around 1982 it was extended to Limekiln Farm. For a decade in the early-2000s it shared a terminus with route 19A, but that route displayed Limekiln Avenue as a destination, whereas the 15A displayed Limekiln Farm. In 2011 the city centre terminus was moved to the Grand Canal Dock area, and the destination displays were updated to show Limekiln Avenue. In 2015 the route was rerouted away from St. Stephen's Green and strated serving George's Street instead. Since 2021 it has terminated in Merrion Square.
RA 230 was new to Dublin Bus in 1995. The buses delivered that year were classified as RH like the buses delivered the previous four years, but due to differences between the batches, the 1995 buses were subsequently reclassified as RA. It was withdrawn in 2008 and sold on to another Irish operator.
The bus was one of the Wedding buses within the fleet. They could be hired by wedding parties to shuttle wedding guests between venues. The last bus was painted out of Wedding livery in 2017.

In the early 50's DeGrazia started working on ceramics. This is when he perfected his copper-based glaze. NBC studios recorded a newsreel, called 'Watch the World,' where they filmed DeGrazia and Marion making these ceramics. He used original molds and his inspirations were taken from desert shapes and colors. Happy Throwback Thursday!
