This basket of thread once sat in my mom's sewing room, but she deicided that she could no longer keep it. Before it got tossed in a dumpster, I had to take a photo of it.

My new thread holder, color coded of course, neutrals then brights. This is only half of my thread (the 100% cotton quilting), the rest is on the other side of the organizer. The best part is the little box snaps closed and has a handle so I can take it with me if I'm traveling somewhere to quilt and can't decide which color I want to use.

this hat was made as an intended gift for my friend, whose fondest memories of childhood had to do with the he-man woman haters club. basically, as a youngin', he'd build fortresses with his he-man toys and he was very much against playing with his little sister. this hat is made of koigu painter's palette premium merino in a colorway i only know as "aztec" via the website i purchased it from. its twin skein was mangled by my rottweiler. i've tried making something with this yarn about five times. this hat is the sixth attempt. this yarn hates me. i man-handled it into being a hat. i hope my friend likes it, at least.
