things are hanging on a thread, a very thin thread... and the second thing is threat - it's the danger in the eye of a tiger.

Threading the headles. This scarf project only has about 150 ends, but I'm out of practice and it took long enough!
While running errands in Dover, Delaware, I came across this event celebrating antique cycles. The competition involved riding the cycle about 100 feet, getting off and threading a needle, then getting on and riding back to the starting point, where a timer waited with stopwatch ticking. I came across this thread while going through some boxes for an upcoming garage sale. I have no idea how old it is, but the price has to speak for itself!

Hope my partner likes it :)
The thread holder that did not work for transporting thread (lid that won't stay on) is great for a table-top organizer for my non-tradional threads.
TRIBAL THREADS
Tiers or layers of flowers with cultural influences.
Hand thrown ceramics, leather or rough metal containers of a handmade look are paired with an analogous palette of yellow oranges through reds in a smaller but more textural look.

OCD?!... I had to wind all the colors of my new embroidery threads onto bobbins before I went to sleep...
Hey, look! It's a couch challenge! This is what's next to me on the couch -- a basket filled with thread, scissors, marking pencils, and an ipod cord.

Messed up on cutting and sewing the center blues so that is why they are all blue. My camera really washed out that green ..
A time/thread based experimentation: I recorded fragments of a conversation every 5 min and then took my notes and googled the fragments. I then went back into the google search contents and highlighted the results and began to look more closely at the content and the connections RNDMly generated.
My wife unearthed a bundle of old, hand-made lace and drawn-thread work from her work basket. Some of it was made by her grandmother.
Two photo series that hopefully demonstrates "deception", the current theme for Macro Mondays. My thought was to get a little perspective and size deception going.
Not sure that I would call this a macro, but I got hooked on the idea of trying a bit of foreshortening. Turned out to be more difficult than I thought!
My first try was dismal; I tried my 100mm macro lens at f/2.8 and shot 40 photos for focus stacking. It turned out to be way too much out-of-focus area between the soup can and the thread.
This shot was done at f/32 with a 75mm zoom for 30 seconds. The soup can and the spool were about 5 feet apart and I focused right in the middle of them. The f/32 allowd just enough DOF to get a fairly clear focus on both objects.
