Tommy Thompson Park or the Leslie Street Spit is a manmade park on Lake Ontario near downtown Toronto. It is perfect for cycling, birdwatching, fishing or going for long runs/walks.
This park is your quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city where you get to enjoy Ontario's beauty with out any cars or motorized vehicles around.
Although it is connected to Horn lake, Thompson lake is open with the bog areas confined to the sides.
Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the oldest and largest botanical garden in the state of Arizona and also one of the oldest botanical institutions west of the Mississippi River. Founded in 1924 as a desert plant research facility and “living museum,” the arboretum is located on 392 acres along Queen Creek and beneath the towering volcanic remnant, Picketpost Mountain, on U.S. Highway 60, three miles west of Superior, Arizona.
Making its way through the S-Curve east of Thompson, four BNSF units lead a Denver-Provo manifest through the Utah desert. The train met the eastbound Zephyr at Cisco, but will not meet another train before reaching two main tracks at Helper.

This view of Thompson creek looks downstream from near the waterfall. The stream coming in from the RHS is where the waterfall is located.
Thompson Falls is a really great waterfall located in Pinkham Notch, NH, near Wildcat Mountain. This is another image from a great weekend adventure I had back in June.
After only two nights of building, I can now present to you my Thompson M1A1!
It features:

- Working trigger
- Removable stock
I have a feeling that it may be a little too long at the back, but that's to allow the bolt to go all the way back. I may have another look at it some point, but right now I'm really pleased with its outcome :-)

This early morning sky caught my eye. I particularly like the white swoosh that cuts across the clouds.
Came across this early 20th century cabin and felt that shooting it in B&W would capture the spirit of the era.

This is a mill that is located just over in neighboring Hancock County, Tn. on Four Mile Rd. I've been wanting to photograph it for several years, but because it sits on a mostly one lane road, and right in front of a house, I've been reluctant to stop. (I hate stopping right in front of someone's home. Here in this rural area, that usually draws folks to the windows, doors, or outside to the front porch. I have had a few who were less than happy with a stranger standing near their house). Anyway, I finally stopped yesterday and took a few shots. The owners of this old mill are apparently hoping to restore the building sometime in the future.
