I may spend a lot of time out in nature....but I hate creepy crawly things! I have no time or need in my life for snakes, lizards, or bugs. I come across them...but rarely, if ever....shoot them. I couldn't pass up this guy. It's about a one hundred and fifty foot drop on the edge of this outcropping of rock. Better him out there rather than the other way around. Who knows if I'd be here! I don't know what it is...and I don't care.

This is a hideous, four-armed mutant abomination that can be found deep in dark fetid swamps. It is a deadly predator and should be avoided at all costs, as it has no fear of Man and in fact seems to prefer humans as prey. It is highly reistant to injury, and bullets are largely ineffective against it tough, leathery hide. It has formidable natural weapons. Its upper end in sharp claws for rending flesh, its lower arms in crushing tentacles. Its tongue is over ten feet long, and is capable of injecting a paralytic poison similar in chemical composition to curare. Its mouth is full of razor sharp teeth, and it is capable of devouring prey many times its size. Some suspect this creature may somehow be related to great Cthulhu, but research has been inconclusive.

I drew this using technical pens, uniball vision pens, Sharpies, markers, brush and ink, and a couple of different nib pens. I'm not sure how long this one took, probably around three hours.

Strange as it sounds, I set out to do a watercolor painting of a Unicorn, and then I realized I couldn't draw a horse to save my life so I drew this monster instead. There are parts of this one I like, parts I don't, but overall I kinda like it :)

Handmade Animal Friendly wig.

It's possible to make dolls wigs without any need of "lamb skin" as you can read in the making of lots of mohair dolls wigs !!

The cute angora goat who gave me her "hair", FORTUNATELY kept her skin.

Ava-Grace was playing in the garden this morning and she saw the most curious thing. It looked like a dinosaur. Ava got down closer, but it didn't move, it was quite frozen to the spot. She would have liked to have asked Ruby if she knew anything about it, but that would require her finding her voice box. She would have to wait and see if anyone else spotted it !

After all this time, the Elvis impersonator is STILL the headlining act at Legends in Concert. That may never change at this rate, but come on, this guy's not fooling anybody. Points for proper attire, but he doesn't really look a thing like him.

I found this when I was walking on some rocks..so I took a photo :)

Funniest thing was he made a nest right between her legs. Granny's got a great big grey...

Shit Thing started out as a notebook made from scraps of paper, it had a cover made out of duct tape, and was bound with an scrap of electric cord, and some spare wire nuts.

While doodling someone asked what i was drawing in, my response from somewhere deep in my brain was, "oh it's just my Shit...Thing."

So from that moment on any of the drawings within it's pages were titled with the date, sometimes a location of where the drawing was completed, and signed "Shit Thing"

Mostly Bad representational, or blind contour drawings initially, which then moved into highly repetitive grid based drawings, inspired by the works of friend and artist Luke Weichmann.

Shit Things are now drawn mostly in small Mole Skin journals.

Two of the common masks we wear. The mask in the foreground is a miniature of a Venetian Carnivale mask. The other mask is the contents of my makeup box.

Taken with a humble point and shoot on macro mode. Feel like I've cheated. Would have loved to do this old school with my SLR but I didn't have enough time to develop film and scan photo. Can't wait until I get my hands on a DSLR.

Our guide told us what this is, but I don't remember details. It's a replica, I"m sure of that. I think it's like a historical scroll.

The Langkawi Craft Complex is located at picturesque Teluk Yu in Mukim Bohor. It is only about 21 kilometres from Kuah town.

This is a one-stop arts and crafts centre brimming with much sought-after items of craftwork - from forest-based products, fabrics, ceramics to metal art efacts and beautiful art objects representing the various Malaysian ethnic groups.

At the demonstration centre, you can learn from skilled craftsmen, who will demonstrate the intricate techniques of producing local works of art and crafts such as weaving, batik painting, wood carving and plaiting. Also on display are static representations of wedding ceremonies and customs of Malaysians.

At the Museum of History and Legends, all the colourful facets of Langkawi's legends and myths are told through dioramas.

The Erotic Life

Should have wrote that thing down

instead of wreaking havoc about it

yet the other self says keep trying.

Once Haj Ibrahim drank the ashes

of his cigarette from his tea,

said it was good for us.

His wife came through the door

looking pale once again,

thoroughly his wife.

Oftentimes I saw them out front

pealing tobacco leaves one by one,

a group of sisters smiling.

One time the mule got loose

and I led him home by the rope,

took him apples in the afternoon.

Their children sat out on the roof

watched us through the window,

told the village how foreigners make love.

Lala's first official trip outside, and she's already having tons of fun exploring!

Created with steampunk styled clockwork steam inventions in mind. This piece is a product of my appreciation for things that look like they operate with some kind of science fiction purpose, but the purpose is not quite identifiable and the only obvious thing is its an intriguing lamp. It has been assembled using a copper water heater, copper and brass plumbing parts, brass light fittings, brass draw handles, copper piping, brass piping, brass bowl, brass gauges, old fuses and more...

GFF17: The Thing at Snow Factor

Belfast. Northern Ireland. The city is a microcosm of a much larger historical issue. Pardon me for the oversimplification...

Northern Ireland belongs to the United Kingdom, a protestant nation. It comprises 6 of Ireland's (the island, not the nation) 32 counties.

The Republic of Ireland, on the other hand, has 26 counties and is very much Catholic. It takes up about 80% of the island.

From the Irish point of view, they dream of the island being completely Irish (one island, one nation sort of thing).

Yet, the British have, for a few hundred years, been making sure the northeast corner of the island is staunchly protestant and pro-crown.

This leads to political and religious conflict. For years (I believe 1969-1998 when a peace accord was negotiated by George Mitchell of Bill Clinton's White House.

To say it's an uneasy peace is an understatement. (Look no further than the current Brexit. Biggest sticking point? Border of Northern Island.)

In Belfast, it feels a bit like I imagine Berlin did from 1961-1989. That, however, wasn't a religious conflict as much as Berliners being pawns in the bigger Cold War of the day.

Her in Belfast, there is a "ground zero" section of both Protestants & Catholics. Like Berlin, there's a wall that separates them. The Berlin Wall, I believe, didn't average much more than 10 feet in height. The Belfast Peace Wall...3 to 4 times higher. (My guide said they were known to throw things over the wall here just in hopes of hitting/hurting someone.)

If you're reading this particular post, the picture you're looking at falls into one of three categories: Catholic "Ground Zero" (Falls Road) are the images that look more like they tell a history, Protestant "Ground Zero" (Shankill Road), where the street art looks more like memorials or militaristic, and three images of the actual Peace Wall that separate the two sections (that don't seem to advocate for one side or the other).

Downtown Belfast in the 1980s was a city that was bombed relentlessly, a desolate place. Nowadays, it's more of a neutral zone, but there's a strong tension underneath it all.

There are still Protestant and Catholic restaurants. There are black taxis that serve only one side or the other.

I was on a black taxi driver where, though the driver didn't explicitly say it, but I came away with the distinct feeling that he was quite involved in the Troubles. I won't say which side I believe he belonged to.

Even with the edginess and my short time in town -- just a few hours, at most -- I though Belfast had a strong spirit that I identified with. It struck me as a fascinating place. As a photographer, I was quite impressed by the city.

...you´ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

Eventually I will weave in the ends. My favorite part!!
