We had a great time last night! In total we had approximately 125 people join us on a flow basis, I personally like these smaller events better because I get to spend more time with everyone! I met people from DSM (Biofuels), Nordex & Goldwind (wind turbine OEM’s), GreenWheels (Electric Car Dealership), MicroSun (Battery Storage), Chicago Streetcar Renaissance (name speaks for itself), and tons more...just in one event. Additionally I was personally impressed by Dan Fedor's ability to manage the setup and break-down of the event, even in Darrin Stern's absence! Thanks Dan! Everyone I spoke with last night was really happy about the turnout; we designed this event to be just a meet-and-greet- no big speeches and no big speakers. What do you want to see more of (or less of?)? Let us know.

Animal Theory: Protector (Ram), Creator (Tiger), Finder (Wolf)
Series of 3 lithographs for term 1 '09 using the concept of animals and sybolism. I'll probably go back to this concept later with different media or combined into a single image.
I'm always telling my Sci/Tech Presentations students to tell the story rather than just presenting a bunch of facts. Making it personal is one way to kill the monotony of this sort of presentation genre. This is the demonstration I used this semester.
