Peter Hook & The Light at Bearded Theory 2022

Image created from numerous sources to illustrate Nicholas Reeves's theory that Tutankhamun's tomb might not end with the burial chamber.

In 2015, he published a theory that may explain why Tutankhamun's tomb turns right (as most queen's tombs do in the 18th dynasty) rather than left (as most king's tombs in the 18th dynasty). The theory is that the antechamber and burial chamber are just foreparts of a larger tomb that continues beyond the north wall of the burial chamber. It postulates that there is a storage chamber off the west wall (still undiscovered) as that fits with the known patter. It is theorized that perhaps Tutankhamun's mother, Nefertiti lies still undiscovered in the remained of the tomb beyond the north wall.

There is evidence that a tomb could have multiple burials in the King's Valley. And since the high-resolution images of the burial chamber (taken to build the replica tomb out near Carter's House at the entrance to the valley) reveal distinct traces of doorways, that perhaps there is more.

To read the entire theory in his own words, pick up: Nichoals Reeves. The Burial of Nefertiti? Tucson, AZ: Amarna Royal Tombs Project, 2015. www.academia.edu/14406398/The_Burial_of_Nefertiti_2015_

To date (2023), three GPR scans have been undertaken. One seemed to suggest a void beyond the wall. One seemed to suggest no void beyond the wall. And one was inconclusive. Thus, it seems that more work needs to be done.

Obviously, we can't go blasting through this painted wall. So it has been suggested to drill from the shrine room and see if there is a gap.

However, we need to be careful, since if there is more to this tomb, the air beyond that wall contains incredible information (pollen, etc) from over 3000 years ago and all of that needs to be measured. The antiquities department (to my knowledge) is doing a very good and careful job throughout Egypt, and I have lots of confidence that they will handle this professionally.

We had a great time last night! In total we had approximately 125 people join us on a flow basis, I personally like these smaller events better because I get to spend more time with everyone! I met people from DSM (Biofuels), Nordex & Goldwind (wind turbine OEM’s), GreenWheels (Electric Car Dealership), MicroSun (Battery Storage), Chicago Streetcar Renaissance (name speaks for itself), and tons more...just in one event. Additionally I was personally impressed by Dan Fedor's ability to manage the setup and break-down of the event, even in Darrin Stern's absence! Thanks Dan! Everyone I spoke with last night was really happy about the turnout; we designed this event to be just a meet-and-greet- no big speeches and no big speakers. What do you want to see more of (or less of?)? Let us know.

NOMAD Luxury Playing Cards by theory11

NoMad Playing Cards were produced in collaboration with The NoMad Hotel in New York City.

In the 19th century, The NoMad District of New York was the meeting place of the era?s elite - from Oscar Wilde to Charles Dickens, Mark Twain to Nikola Tesla. Our vision was to create a deck of cards that would serve as a monument to The NoMad. The result is a timeless blend of beauty and elegance.
