Here we go, ladies and gentlemen! At long last, The Boo are performing live in concert, right here in Spookland!
This photo has been a long time in coming. I had envisioned something a bit grander, but this will do. I'm quite pleased with it.
It took me several months to acquire all the bits and pieces. Most of the gear is Bratz in origin (the keyboard, bass guitar, drums, microphone). The speaker stacks in the background are from the MH school playset. The guitar Frankie is holding is a miniature Takamine. It's one of my favorite props, in fact, mainly because it's almost identical to my real Takamine acoustic/electric guitar, which is what I used for the stage (the guitars are thus the "big and small" part of the photo for the weekly challenge theme).

Never thought these days would come around again....lol. I thought these days were over and done with but this case is doing a number on me. I'm really having to study this case. Everything has to be precise and done by the book. Nothing can be taken for granted. No mistakes can be made. Taken for the Saturday Self Challenge 'Surprise'
A tricky challenge, trying to find something representing a surprise. This is Alfie, grandchild number 10 and his debut appearance as a subject for my various challenges. Whilst playing Peek A Boo with Alfie, he was giggling away and by progressing the boo a little I was able to capture his surprised expression.
so this is my son, TheBoo, aka Aidan, and he is almost three...
Some things are easy for him...music and climbing, to name a couple, and some things are hard...especially speech. In fact, I am the only one who understands him, and even then, I don't get everything...
He is getting to the age where people start their sentences with "children like this..."
To me, there are no "children like this", there is only the one, the only...The Boo...
Mama Mei brings more boo into the nursery and goes "around" her baby to not make him bark. The boo touches the darling pumpkin biscuit anyway, and he lets out a very loud bark.
Boo Boo Blackington the cairn terrier, aka The Boo and properly names Bushka, had a bath earlier in the day and so decided it was OK to find a warm spot under the covers with Mama. (Photog's Note: Auto ISO pushed the speed up to 22,800, thus the noise, which I mitigated some with Topaz Denoise. Historical note: The blanket covering The Boo is heavy wool with "N A V Y" stenciled in blue on it because my dad used it 80 years ago during his time with the Marines in Northern Ireland. ©2024 | John M.
