When dreams come true, it might be the case you find yourself in one of the most epic sceneries the Alps have to offer. We felt like being in an unreal world when all the stars aligned and we got the famous Matterhorn being reflected on the mirror-plane lake. Not enough of that, the color texture of the cone-shaped granite rock mimicked the peak's early morning glow in a symmetry and equilibrium, you almost can't believe. This has been witnessed by a group of very nice fellows from Australia, Canada, Israel and Italy. Thanks to @torygrimaldi, @vladimir.kogan and @dw_photo_ca for the nice company!

This wonderful autumnal scenery had been already a picture, even before I opened the shutter of my camera. As the sun had already set behind the horizon, the bark of the apple tree beautifully reflects the light bouncing off from the after-glowing sky. The terrific red leaves give the scene the extra taste of a miracle.

Despite I come quite frequent to this location nearby my home, I especially like to visit when the lake is frozen and we have such magical wintry conditions like this morning in early January, 2020. This shot consists of a fourteen vertical exposures. Nevertheless, the stitched panoramic result was quite hard to crop, as I wanted to show the nice structure of the big poplar tree on the left, as well as the fallen tree on the right. That's why I came around with the very wide format at the end.

No better way to start the 2019 series of the Swiss Alps with the remarkable Jungfrau, a 4158 m high peak between the regions Bern and Wallis. The photograph shows the northwestern slope in absolutely juicy morning light with its two beautiful glaciers: Kühlauenen (left) and Giesen (center). The photograph was taken (believe it or not) right from the balcony of our guesthouse in Interlaken. Thanks to our very nice host Jen at the Adventure Guest House Interlaken!

I was eight or nine years old, when I was first inside the Rhone glacier. Twenty five years later I had another chance to explore the narrow corridors there. Nevertheless, they were not exactly the same. Due to the ongoing glacial recession, the responsible have to build new corridors, year by year.

On the southwest coast of India, Kerala is one of India's most beautiful states. With spectacular beaches and lush backwaters, temples, and palaces, it's known as “God's own country” for good reason.

As promised, the return to the Swiss Alps did not take long. On this trip in the middle of July I came with two friends of mine. We would stay four days in this extraordinarily beautiful area, hike a few kilometres, cover some metres of altitude and spend the nights in our tents.

Have been inspired to this subject by another local photographer - thanks Michael. The difficulty is to exclude as much of the sky as possible while catching the reflections in the pond. The heron guarding the bridge was an unexpected benefit.

A very simple study of the setting super moon on April, 8th, 2020. Like the soft color-gradient at the western horizon. Luna was with a distance of only 357.035 km kilometers on its nearest distance to earth within the next five years.

Those big glaciers are much impressive and true giants of the Alps. Like a living organism they wind themselves, finding their way down to the valley. The Gorner glacier is almost 13 km long and covers an area of more than 50 km² [1]. The picture was taken from Schwarzsee (2583 m) above Zermatt.

Iceland, a Nordic island nation, is defined by its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields. Massive glaciers are protected in Vatnajökull and Snæfellsjökull national parks. Most of the population lives in the capital, Reykjavik, which runs on geothermal power and is home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history.
