Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D5200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

So i was tagged by Emily Kendall, Sarah, and Caroline Kelly.

10 things about me:

1. If i could only tell someone 10 things about me and they would never be able to know anything else, i have know idea what i would say.

2. I have a sort of contest/game/thing going on this summer. I am determined to take a picture to take a picture like The Notebook one where Noah picked up Allie.

3. I love candid pictures. like the one up there ^^ of Katie.

4. I love to read books, all different kinds. But my favorite kind of book is a book where someone dies or someone is heart broken. i know thats extremely weird but happy books don't let me escape my life thats why i would rather read something sad.

5.I act like i'm not at all scared of scary movies. (most the time i'm not) But once in a while i'll sleep with my door open after watching a scary movie because i'm scared somethings in my room.

6. I'm scared of sleep, i'm scared of it and i hate it. I feel like i'm going to miss something or something bad is going to happen and i wont even know because i'm not awake. i'm also scared that i will die in my sleep. (I would rather be killed then die in my sleep) So i push myself to stay awake until i just cant keep my eyes open anymore.

7. I hate people for stupid reasons. They can just do something i don't like once, and i hate them. I should really stop doing that.

8. I think when i'm older and able to do more things that i will be an adrenalin junkie, i just love doing things that are exciting and scary.

9. I don't want to grow up any faster then i have to but i cant wait until i can drive so i can find amazing places to take picture. places not everyone knows about.

10. I'm a cheerleader but i hate cheerleading. Its not graceful at all, and it makes me miss the grace of gymnastics.

I couldn't sleep last night because I know that it's over between us. I'm not bitter any more, because I know that what we had was real. And if in some distant place in the future we see each other in our new lives, I'll smile at you with joy and remember how we spent the summer beneath the trees, learning from each other and growing in love. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that's what you've given me. This is my tree. I actually fell asleep laying here. I always sneak away to be under this tree. Its peacful and its mine.

I feel summer coming. I graduate from highschool in five days.

A friend at work loaned me her dvd of "The Notebook" this evening... surprisingly, as many movies as I go to. This is one that escaped me. I had heard how sad it was... but as I was watching it. I kept thinking "this aint so sad". It was a very sweet, enjoyable romantic movie, and the opening scene did tug at my heart... but no tears... then it got to the last 5 minutes, and I was crying uncontrollably. OMG, that had to be one of the most romantic endings I have ever seen... Jesus Christ.

The Notebook

We started out with a textbook for a nerdy kind of look but it seemed to overpower the shot and she looked uncomfortable with it. I suggested she get her favorite book which is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Immediately her expression changed. She really does love this book and I think it shows. She has probably read it 10 times at least.. I do admit to watching the movie version of this romantic tale with her 4 times so far.

I use this notebook to write down random things that pop into my head. I don't write down any dates, I just fill the pages with a combination of streams of consciousness, notes from meetings and lectures, quotes from something I've read or watched, and pithy little comments and observations that I've made throughout the day.

I've transferred some of these thoughts to my various blogs (see here and here). I've discussed these things with friends and acquaintances. I've left the words to sit undeveloped.

I have an urge to document. I have an urge to record. This is my proof.

The earliest known reference to the site is of 1681. It originated from a land grant given to Major John Boone. The land grant of 470 acres was given by Theophilus Patey as a wedding present to his daughter, Elizabeth, and Boone. The original wooden house was constructed in 1790. The house was a two-story, wooden house with a one-story front porch.

The house that stands now was built by Thomas Stone, a Canadian who purchased the land in the early 20th century. He wanted a "grander style" home than what was there, so he built the Colonial Revival-style house that stands there today. However, the bricks in the house were taken from the Horlbeck brickyard.
