I do not think that this gem is still around because this area has been overtaken by the gentifiers and they're slapping up new condos that nobody can afford...
On Friday 2 friends of mine and I flew down to Denver to be with our friend Deb, who had just lost her husband Derek, in a tragic accident. After the candle light memorial Friday night, we went over to her place to help get her boat ready to sell. Deb also went through Derek's things, figuring out what she wanted to keep. Unlike myself, Derek had very good taste in clothing, and knew what looked nice. Deborah gave me a few of his ultra high class button-up shirts, and I am honored to have them. I just hope I can do them justice!
Today would have been Derek's 40th Birthday.

i know this obviously isn't perfect but hopefully it doesn't look too horrid
To everybody it was plain
That Piggy had a massive brain.
He worked out sums inside his head,

Next morning, in comes Farmer Bland,

Hey guys! I'm done school! I had my last exam yesterday (for history). All I have left is the grad ceremony and then i'm done! Starting university in the fall, so stoked!
On the other hand, ONLY 10 MORE DAYS UNTIL THE RED TOUR HITS VANCOUVER AT BC PLACE! Also stoked for that.
As for the cover itself, I'm really happy with this one. I was partly inspired by the RED booklet (with the shaped), and by the RED - Single promo poster (hitting radio stations June 24th). A little inspiration also came from some of JBGL's photos (Jordan, the shapes you do free hand/on your own are incredible man!).
I'm really happy with how the shapes molded nicely together. Originally the photo of Taylor was going to be in full colour, but after playing around with some colouring techniques, I thought a heavy darkened red/pink hue was the way to go.

Hey guys! Wow, almost five months since my last upload..crazy eh?
Been good, finished my first year of university, pretty stoked on that. I have an admissions interview next week (switching programs), so here's to hoping that goes well.
The cover! I played around in Gimp/Photoshop for about half an hour before coming onto this.. It's more of a fan-art/tumblr isn concept than anything, much more than anything official we've seen from Taylor's team. This marks the third cover I've done for a Red Tour CD/DVD/Album type situation, can ya tell I'm ready for it? Hope to be doing a bit more in Photoshop! Summer's busy, work, travel, friends, but there'll be a bit more time for stuff like this.
