FGR: Fairy Tales

TRP: Sláinte!

Wow! What a journey this 365 project has been and it only took me 460 days to do it. I was convinced by a grade school friend of mine that I really needed to do this but I knew form the beginning being a busy mom of three kids I had a slim chance of finishing it on time.

I decided I would keep on going until I took 365 photos and do my best to take one every day.I learned so very much on this photography journey and it was just because I picked up my camera {almost} everyday and used it. It was hard not to learn a thing or two.

I loved the creative challenge that I got from thinking of what I would do for the photo each day I would find myself driving down the road absently thinking of photography.

One of the highlights of this journey has been the wonderful friends I have made along the way. I have been inspired by your photography on a daily basis and look forward to seeing what you have to post each day. I so appreciate that you have taken the time out of your day to look at my photos and comment and come along on this journey with me.

Thank you, for being my friend here in this flicker world.

One of the funny things I learned along the way is that there is a massive amount of people out there with a foot fetish {I really had no idea}!

So that's my tale for today

R.E.M. - It's The End Of The World As We Know It (and I Feel Fine...).

So... this is it.

366 days after it began, the set is finished. And... with this last 366 post on this last day of the year... I am both sad and relieved.

Looking back at the photos, and remembering the days.. I am glad that I did this. 2008 will be a year that I never forget... for reasons both good and bad.

Thank you, Dagmar, for inspiring me to give this thing a go. And to all of my friends and contacts, thank you for continuing to visit and leave such kind comments on the many lackluster and occasionally ridiculous photos that I put into this set.

Decided to step into the WABAC Machine this week.

These are from the first photo session I had, form sometime in the late 1990's. Was kind of pudgy back then. Some of the clothes are borrowed, some were mine. Only the white knit top and skirt remain ( the elastic waistband is all stretched out).

There are other photos from this session sprinkled somewhere in my photostream. You'll be able to tell by the photo number.

The quality of these photos isn't the best. They were originally taken with a film camera and then later converted to a digital format.

The 100 days of lettering project is finished, hurray!

Day 365 ~ The End

9th August 2010

So, this is the end of my journey! And what a year it's been! Whoop!

I started my 365 project on 10th August 2009, my 30th Birthday. I'd become a Mum the year before and my camera was firmly attached to my right hand during that year. When I invested in my DSLR I wanted to learn how to use it properly and become a better photographer along the way. Thank You to my Flickr friends and contacts for inspiring me to start my own 365.

So, what has happened in my 365 year?

I turned 30, we had an amazing Italian holiday including a once in a life time trip to Venice, I got a promotion, Chap turned 2, and to top it all off I've lost almost 2.5 stone!!! An amazing year in my opinion!

Photowise, I had a picture appear in 2 exhibitions in Bristol (both through the Bristol Flickr Group) and I did my first ever wedding shoot & I now have a few more in the pipeline (!). My pictures are also cropping up on people's walls here and there so I have a great sense of pride! I also have started a website with lots of help from my cousin and fellow Flickr-ite Dave, please visit me at Jenny James Photography :)

So here are my stats:

* 17 self portraits (or partial selfies)

* 32 pictures featuring the Chap :)

* 12 pictures in Explore

I have really enjoyed my journey and fully intend to start a second 365 project in the not too distant future, I won't be starting another tomorrow (on my 31st Birthday!) as I could do with a little break TBH! But I expect to start one in the next couple of months or so as I've really found the experience invaluable!!
