I was still pulling from the archives , when I came across this image. I reworked it the best I could since it a really low res shoot from a old Fuji Fine pix that has cheap point and shoot when I got it.
There was a time that I have two 1971 Mustang Mach 1's in the garage. I still regret selling the yellow one, but my kids were young and there was college funds to build. Named "The Beast" I had purchased it to build a 10 second street machine and 2 years into the project had gotten the motor (351C putting 497hp to crank , with a 250 hp shot NOS ready to jump in when it came time for racing) and drive train done, except for adding in mini-tubs for the huge racing / street radials that were going to be put on.
As you see in this shot the silver "Mr. Mean" was almost stock as the day it rolled off the factory line back then. People ask me how did I choose which one to keep. It really came down to sentimental value. Mr. Mean looks like the Mach 1's I had as a young street racer and college kid, not as fast and loud , but still evokes all those great memories whenever I look at it.

I just received the lens board I needed from Jo Lommen (such a helpful guy) so that I can mount this crazy lens I sourced right here in Calgary of all placed! I first saw images produced from the Speed Graphic and the Kodak Aero Ektar from David Burnett's website, and from there found more and more people who have put this set together to produce insane results! I have not yet actually taken a photo with it... but I have my Polaroid Type 55 film ready to rock! Now... I need to find somebody to take pictures of!!!! The real reason I agreed to have kids... models!

I went to a Truck Show that was held in the Automatic Switch Company Parking Lot on June 8, 1991. Automatic Switch is located at 160 Park Ave, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
This White Motor Company Tilt Cab Truck caught my eye and the lens of my 35 mm Minolta Maxxim 5000. That's my Son in the center of my Photograph examining the Engine.
Notice the other Photographer standing near the Fifth Wheel !
Apparently the Name of the Truck is "The Beast" as indicated by both the Mural and the Chrome Script on the Roof.

I scanned the Negative, and used Photoshop Elements™ to correct the Exposure and Saturation to generate the Digital Digital Image, presented here on flickr™.
Well I'm back from Rome, just about, nearly didn't make it but that's a long story.
With my arm in a cast, the blazing heat and crazy amount of walking we did, the camera stayed firmly in the hotel. There was far too much history to soak up in too short a time to be worrying about photos so I took none. I have got plenty more of this handsome boy tho, I hope no one is fed up of him ;o) Brown On Black

The Kiev 60 arrived today! Mint condition and everything seems to work ok. No mirror lock up for some reason. The guy had promised it as part of the initial purchase breakdown. Hmmmm.
Apart from that, everything works just fine. The TTL prism is a tad temperamental to say the least, with the lights blinking around and refusing to both stay lit at the same time. Might be the batteries though.
I was expecting an ARSAT 80/2.8 but instead I got a VOLNA-3 MC, not a biggie as both lenses are quite similar anyway. The coating sure looks pretty...
