"The Beast" is coming up on being 2 years old in November but she can still give me that adorable puppy face that melts me into a puddle. Those eyes.......
Title inspired by the movie, "Sandlot", where the baseball can never be retrieved if it lands in the backyard where an aggressive dog lives, who they called "The Beast."
In this case, "the beast" is a feral cat who showed up here about a month ago. She loves to chase down ping pong balls and is providing much entertainment for us during our table tennis games. We have been unable to retrieve this ball, but thankfully have many more to toss around for her to play with and hoard.

All the extra gear on this yacht reminds me of my backpack. LOL

Do you close the book and never read it again?
Where do you go when your story's done?"

I waited in line for almost three hours to get a photo of this plant. It bloomed early yesterday morning. I went in the evening and it had already started to close. It only stays open for a day, and only blooms about every 7 - 10 years. It smells like rotting flesh...no, I did not smell it. This corpse plant is named "The Beast", The gardens were supposed to be closed at 9pm, but everyone that was in line at 8 were allowed to view it, I got there at 7:30 and finally got to see it at 10:45. There were probably at least 150 people behind me. It was a long night for the volunteers. It was in front of a window that is normally sunlit...my shot had a dark sky behind it.
Thanks for the views, comments and favs :)

Not a very good picture I know. But I spent a good proportion of my childhood in and around Maidstone and often rode on these sickly coloured buses. They used to be a rich cream and honey colour but of course that had to go! As a point of interest the coat of arms on the sides featured a dinosaur!
