This is how Photo-Jennic and I celebrate Thanksgiving. It was cold today but worth it. We'll be eating alone because of the pandemic. That's ok, though. It's only one year and life is good. Even though it's been a crazy year (or few), we have so much to be grateful for.
Wishing a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving to all my flickr friends who celebrate it today. And if you don't, just have a fabulous day. Breathe, smile and be happy. www.NaturalPhotographySpa.com
"For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!"

thank you to everyone who has been a part of my life and has made it as colorful and meaningful a life as it is today...maraming salamat!
Took a late afternoon hike up Green Mountain in Lakewood, CO. The prominent bump is Mount Morrison.
A nice sunset with the light on the wave cloud.
I just want to wish all my friends in the states a Very Happy Thanksgiving!
I also want to tell everyone how thankful I am to have found Flickr because I have made some really wonderful friends here and have seen some awesome photos!
This is the fourth Thanksgiving holiday that Leslie Anne and I have spent together. I cooked the turkey & dressing for the first two, and she cooked the next two. I cooked Texas style green beans with potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and sausage the night before and brought some over for dinner. My girl also baked a loaf of bread and made creme brulee for dessert. Mmmm good!
You can see what I am thankful for.
I certainly have a ton to be thankful for this year, and very high on that list is gratitude for the endless amounts of inspiration shared in the flickr world and the wonderful connections I've made here.
Wishing you all the most wonderful of Thanksgiving Days, missing you and looking so forward to catching up with your work very soon!
I am ever so grateful for the many blessings in my life... a safe home, a loving family, amazing friends and an outlet to share my creative passions. I have gained so much inspiration from the images shared on Flickr, and the friendships formed through a mutual love of decorating, but then have turned into so much more are such an amazing gift!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Everyone!!
Thanksgiving Night Cap" Thanksgiving night 2012 celebrating with family at my sisters cabin on the lake and as the festivities inside the house were in full swing, i sat outside with a beer and my camera gazing at the stars. Moonlight illuminated the landscape and the stars shined bright. I decided to create a vertical panoramic starting with my seat and ending with the sky. This 3 image vertical pan was shot and stitched with intention of showcasing the beautiful night sky over northwest New Jersey. Enjoy!

Thanksgiving morning in Portland Oregon. The city is waking up to a beautiful day as the downtown buildings reflect the early light. The Hawthorne bridge spans the Willamette river.
Imagery from two of NOAA's GOES satellites revealed that pre-Thanksgiving travel in the U.S. will be relatively calm, weather-wise. High pressure in the eastern half of the country guarantees dry conditions from Maine to the Gulf coast, while an area of low pressure is bringing snow and rain to the Pacific Northwest.
A visible image of the U.S. was captured combining visible imagery from NOAA's GOES-13 and GOES-15 satellites that cover the eastern and western U.S., respectively. The image was created at 1445 UTC (9:45 a.m. EST) on Nov. 21, 2012 at the NASA GOES Project at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. The combination image showed that the only active weather area is in the Pacific Northwest.
On Wed. Nov. 21, low pressure located over eastern Oregon is bringing heavy snows along the Cascade Mountain Range. The area of low pressure is evident by an area of clouds over the region. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect on Nov. 21 for Sawtooth Mountains and Big and the Little Wood River Region. According to the warning from National Weather Service in Pocatello, Idaho, those areas are expected to face additional snow accumulation of 6 to 8 inches above 7,500 feet and winds of 15 to 30 mph with higher gusts that will create areas of blowing and drifting snow. In addition, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the West Glacier Region, the Lower Clark Fork Region, Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountain.
National Weather Service expects the moisture in the northwestern Pacific to come to an end by early Thanksgiving Day, however, another system is approaching the Pacific coast and will bring rain back to the region.
In the southern Rocky Mountains and western Texas, a short-wave of energy will trigger some scattered precipitation today, Nov. 21. That energy is expected to move northeastward into the middle Mississippi Valley on Thanksgiving night, bringing a chance for showers. Snow showers are possible on Thanksgiving night along Minnesota and North Dakota from a low pressure area over the Great Lakes region. Clouds associated with the Great Lakes low are visible in today's GOES image.

On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful for
Our blessings all year through,
For family we dearly love,
For good friends, old and new.
For sun to light and warm our days,
For stars that glow at night,
For trees of green and skies of blue,
And puffy clouds of white.
We’re grateful for our eyes that see
The beauty all around,
For arms to hug, and legs to walk,
And ears to hear each sound.
The list of all we’re grateful for
Would fill a great big book;
Our thankful hearts find new delights
Everywhere we look!
To all my friends in America, I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with loved ones! Enjoy the long weekend!
And to all my Flickr friends around the globe, I thank you dearly for your friendship and for sharing your wonderful photos. Take care always.
Here is a full length shot of Leslie Anne's newest LBD and her famous red boots that have gotten so much attention over the years I've known her. She is pausing for a fashion photo in between cooking various things for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is the holiday of peace, the celebration of work and the simple life... a true folk-festival that speaks the poetry of the turn of the seasons, the beauty of seedtime and harvest, the ripe product of the year - and the deep, deep connection of all these things with God. ~ Ray Stannard Baker
Wishing you all the blessings of health, happiness and success on Thanksgiving and always!!
