May you all be blessed my friends! Here in America we celebrate what is my favorite holiday of Thanksgiving. I always find ways to be thankful! I shall laugh too hard and eat too much and chase the golf ball far from its intended target but I shall certainly enjoy Thanksgiving! I hope you do as well. ~Sam
Today is Thanksgiving in Canada and I am thankful for so many things in my life. One of them is definitely those beautiful sugar maple trees that bring such incredible reds to the autumn landscape. And when spring arrives they give us the famous sweet treat of maple syrup. I love nature.
wishing you a Thanksgiving that is filled with love, peace and laughter .... and some Turkey and Pumpkin Pie Too
Wishing you a very blessed time as you reflect on pleasant scenes from the past. (This image was pulled from my archives. Photographed on October 23, 2012, Falls Creek Falls, Tennessee.) Happy Thanksgiving, Flickr friends.

Enjoying friends and family this week as we celebrate Thanksgiving. Had to hustle back to the house before someone got to the leftovers ......Enjoy your weekend! Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all U.S. folks - hope you all have (and will have) much to be thankful for. For some reason, this image always makes me think of the holidays.
Despite the cloud and forecast rain we decided to take our dogs for a walk at a local conservation park. Along the trail we ran into a number of wild turkey so being Thanksgiving Monday in Canada I thought it only fitting that I post a photo of a turkey :)
Happy Thanksgiving Day
Thank you for viewing
Harvest time, a colourful, joyful time of the year. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating, enjoy =)
As in Happy Thanksgiving!
Not a great shot for quality but good for sharing a feeling: blissful happiness. This relaxed seal cruised by me at the Newport OR Aquarium bringing smiles.
America gives thanks for our many blessings on Thanksgiving Day. I give thanks every day for the opportunities to see, savor and shoot scenes like this. In addition I'm thankful for the learning, sharing and enjoyment that I experience daily with my dear flickr friends and family.
Wishing you all a wonderful day celebrating what is special in your lives.
On Thanksgiving (and Christmas) I always put out peanut butter, peanuts and birdseed on a couple plates for the birds and squirrels. So far only one squirrel is interested. He/she took all of the peanuts.
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

A close friend gifted me slips from her plant a couple of years ago. This is the first time it has bloomed. She has since passed away and would be happy to see that it is blooming.
Often confused with the Christmas Cactus. The Thanksgiving cactus has pointed, claw-like edges on segments where the Christmas cactus has notched edges on segments that are smooth and rounded.
thanksgiving cactus almost the same as the Christmas cactus except for the shape of the leaves and the period of blossoming. Enjoy.
Sometimes you have Thanksgiving, sometimes Thanksgiving has you!
I took this picture with Ivy on our photo backdrop skybox at Shattered!
These guys have been hiding out in the safety of the forest since before Thanksgiving. They came walking back to town today
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American Flickr friends who are celebrating today, and Happy Thursday to all! It’s a good time too for me to say thank you for your comments, friendship and support; it is very much appreciated.
Thanks as well to my wife who trusted me to photograph the decos for this image and to return them safely to their display locations without breaking them or messing them up too badly. :-) And thanks to Brenda Starr for the background texture.

Thank you all for sharing your beauty with me...
One of the up to 20 mourning doves that come to enjoy the seed I scatter on our front lawn. This one was in our maple tree. 28°F and very windy on Thanksgiving Day. Hard to capture through our slightly opened front door with my non stabilized lens. I scared all the others away trying to get this one since I had to open the door due to where the tree is in our yard. But they always come back later for the seed. :) Love these and am very thankful that so many are coming to visit daily so likely more photos of them in the future. :)
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American flickr friends! Let's be thankful for all the many little things in life that often go unseen!
Just turned 18 today, quite excited. I decided to start uploading images without a border now.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian flickr friends out there! Hope you have a wonderful day!
This picture looks harder than it is because the word was soo long. I had to do it a couple times. By the 6th time, I was able to write the words faster and nicer.

One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is the leftovers. In this case, the feast is visual. My Mom deserves recognition as a good sport because we left her house at 2:30 a.m. to drive to Yosemite and see the morning unfold at Tunnel View. She had never seen Yosemite in the winter. Luck was with us as it snowed two days earlier and was cold enough to stick. After Tunnel View we went into the valley for a nice walk and to see more beautiful sites. We very much preferred our "White Friday" to the chaos of a shopper's Black Friday. If you ever get the chance to see Yosemite in winter, don't miss it. While some of the park was closed due to road conditions, visitation was minimal making the experience quite pleasant.
By the way, I can't believe what phones can do these days. I did bring my DSLR and captured some great scenes and memories, but it's amazing how capable the camera phones are.

Thanksgiving
The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway~
Thanksgiving comes again!
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving Day.
Family isn’t just who we’re born to — it’s the ones who stand beside us, love us through every season, and fill our lives with warmth, laughter, and comfort. Thanksgiving, we pause to cherish the memories we’ve made, the bonds that carry us, and the love that makes even the simplest moments feel extraordinary. Grateful hearts, gathered together forever Wiskee Snows ♥
A Westie and his friends having a Thanksgiving Feast.
Prompt: Create an ultra-realistic digital fine art illustration of a cozy Thanksgiving dinner scene featuring a group of cats and dogs, featuring a Westie and a Schnauzer, gathered around a Thanksgiving Dinner table.
At the center of the table sits a large golden roasted turkey, surrounded by traditional autumn dishes—pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and bowls of vegetables. The animals, each with expressive and heartwarming faces, sit politely around the table as if posing for a family portrait. Include a variety of breeds and fur colors for both cats and dogs, ensuring lifelike fur textures and lighting realism.
The setting is lit by natural daylight from a window in the dining room revealing an autumn landscape. The tablecloth is pale blue, adorned with elegant tableware and small pumpkins for decoration. Fall leaves hang above as part of the room’s décor, and candles glow, enhancing the nostalgic, festive mood.
The lighting should feel natural, evoking afternoon daylight filtering through the window and illuminating the animals’ fur and the textures of the food.
