at the foreign languages bookstore in beijing. it was packaged, so i couldn't look at the actual content, but i'm definitely curious as to why "my foot!" is an important phrase to learn at level 3.

Summer 2006, I'm taking Drama 316: Theatrical Makeup. I went up to Display and Costume in Northgate and bought my "textbooks" for the class.
I know that star signs are a load of old hocum really. I know that stars millions of light years away can't have decreed my personality at the time of my birth...
However, a huge amount of my personality is pretty close to your textbook Aquarian - both good and bad, and I've always loved the stone of February, the Amethyst, which unsurprisingly is purple, my favourite colour.
Trivial things maybe, but just a few more of the things that make me, me :)

A 1933 guide to vocations written in "simple, easy vocabulary" so it can be "used with profit by the younger pupils." According to a chart in Appendix IV, 1,058,987 children between the ages of 10 and 15 were gainfully employed in 1930. I guess that explains why this book was intended for younger pupils. Get a job, slacker!
The photo was taken in my dorm. It is my laptop and my textbook. Studying is a big part of my life. I bought my laptop from Dell, and I bought my textbook from Amazon. They are necessary for me since they are great studying tools for me to learn knowledge and provide me with convenience. In the process of learning, I obtain happiness. That is the reason I desire these study tools. I think the desire is choices made on a case-by-case basis. Some people do not regard study as a desire, but I believe studying is important in life and acquisition of knowledge is meaningful and desirable. This photo shows my identity that I am a hard-working individual and enjoy the way to step forward.

Chinese learn their kids when they're way young before TV and consumerism
corrupts them.

Paid a visit to another very good old friend this afternoon.. I am really starting to enjoy shooting with this macro lens now that I have figured out how to use it. Man I love this place! Gonna miss her when she is gone.
