I draw the heart shape using pineapple juice. Local sugar ants do love everything sweet.

Sencilla es la manera

de aprenderse la lección,

eso se dijo aquel cura

que metía por los ojos

día a día el corazón.

Allá donde la lectura

no era sana devoción

iba poniendo en paredes

cada día su lección.

Y así logró que aprendieran

a vivir, a comprender

y a leer entre pasillos

la lección del buen hacer.

For 52 Weeks of Pix: Movie Titles (View Large)

Paper and post-processing collage put together over the last couple days on my good ol' kitchen table, photos taken and finishing touches added in PicMonkey this a.m. I used some graphics and text from PicMonkey along with tweaking of the image. Eternal Sunshine is one of my favorite movies. If you are familiar with it you may recongnize some quotes used here. The images are not from the movie but based loosely on the story. I really had fun with this project!

The Renwick Gallery, part of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC, has recently opened after a several year renovation. Across the street from the White House, it is a great place to visit when you are in DC. There is more information in the link below, including some fun slide shows.

Glad to say I got everything I wanted! Nothing says Citizen Brick like a neutral face. I love the combo for my varsity figure and the green tuxedo freebie is pretty neat, too. Actually, I nearly missed out on the figure with the flesh neutral head. What happened was I had two separate pages open for my cart, and updated one of them which I took to checkout. However, because of the other tab, it claimed it was out of stock. I got frustrated going back to the CB Day III section and seeing it was still there, but after deleting my other tab all was well again.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to putting these pieces to work, especially the Japanese. To be continued...

EDIT: I'm glad so man of us are fans of Citizen Brick around here, but please refrain from asking me to part with my parts. Everything seen here is being put to good use.

Brithish Head War Cemetery, Anzio, Italy.

Between 22 January an May 1944, during the alleated forces landing of Anzio, died in combat 7000 men and there were 36,000 wounded between missing and caught. Here 2,312 british soldiers are buried. Most of these intrepid soldiers died very young, many were volunteers even fifteen, but to enroll themselves declared they were 19 years old. Veterans remembered the Anzio landings that liberated Rome in the 70th Anniversary of landing, that helped turn the course of the Second World War. RIP
